I made it to the hospital and up to Desiree's room. The nurse said she had no progress and still couldn't breathe on her own. Also, she lost a lot of blood from the miscarriage. I didn't even know she was pregnant. I sat with my auntie and held her.
"its going to be okay auntie" I told her while rocking her.
She wouldn't stop crying and I know nothing I say will change how she felt, so I just continued to hold her.
Two hours later Desiree flat lined. All the nurses came rushing into her room with a crash card trying to get her back. They made us leave the room and My auntie was losing her mind. I tried my best to calm her down until a nurse came out with the bad news.
"I am sorry ma'am. She didn't make it" the nursed told her.
My aunt started to scream like crazy. After sitting with Desiree's body, I finally convinced my auntie to get some rest. I took her back home and the family was there waiting for her. I promised them that I would be back after I handled a few important things.
I loved the hell out of my family, but It was too much that had to be done in very little time.
