"What do you mean I have a lot of explaining to do?" Hisoka looked at you confusingly. You then looked down, contemplating your decision.
What i'm about to ask him is really personal. Should I really be doing this? You thought to yourself.
"You look really pretty when you're lost in thought, Y/n" A hand brought itself to your cheek, lifting your gaze to match alluring but dulling aquamarine eyes. "Why did you have to marry him?" You could tell Hisoka switched. The tone of his voice was soft, but not in a good way. You started to panic as Hisoka kept staring into your eyes. "Hisoka?" you peeped, yelping as you were suddenly pushed to the ground. "What are you doing?? You're going to get in trouble!!" The male then growled, attempting to pounce on you, in which you rolled away. Hisoka's behavior was so animal-like, it frightened you to the core. What's with the sudden change?! You thought, but were quickly knocked back into reality when Hisoka grabbed your left leg, gripping onto it as if he didn't want to let you go.
"This isn't like you! Hisoka STOP!" You finally managed to kick the younger male in the face, regretting your decision soon after. You got up, panting like you just ran a marathon, and got a reasonable distance away from the crazed man. Hisoka groaned loudly clutching his nose, growling ever so slightly. "Leave–Leave him alone" The male panted, looking at you. His eyes were constricted, and they seemed to glare at you with intense hate. "H-Hisoka–"
"I am Tessai" You are a demon You thought, but quickly shook those thoughts away. 'Tessai' finally took his hand away from his nose, and you noticed that his blood wasn't red like it should be–
–It was black.
"He doesn't need you! LEAVE HIM ALONE!!" Tessai began swinging at you, in which you screamed in reflex, causing nurses and doctors to rush out, including your husband. "Hold him down!! Hold him down!!!" Takai yelled as he grabbed you. "Are you okay Y/n?? Sweetheart, please tell me you're alright" You were frozen in shock, but managed to nod your head. "Alright, I'm gonna help you up" You were about to get up, until you realized something. "T-Takai" The brunette paused. "Yes, darling?" The doctor replied. "H-How'd you get here so quickly? L-like, how did you know I was in d-danger?" Takai chuckled deeply, sending shivers up your spine. "I guess you can say I have a sixth sense"
Hisoka was brought back to the 13th floor, while Takai brought you to his office. "I'll have him shipped off to prison by tomorrow, don't worry" You looked up at your husband, shocked. "W-Why? He's doing fine here" Takai laughed a bit, opening his desk drawer and picking a file from one of the compartents. "He just tried to swing at you, right? We'll put him in solitary confinement" You rushed to stop Takai from leaving his office. "Please! Don't put him in prison! Hisoka's actually doing well!"
"He hurt you, Y/n! I won't let anybody hurt you and get away with it!"
"You've hurt me many times!! Don't act like you haven't done anything! And how did you know that he actually hurt me?! I thought you said he almost hurt me?! How long were you actually watching us for, Takai?!" Takai grabbed you by the waist and you struggled to get out.
"Let me go" You huffed and looked away. "Don't do this to me, Y/n". You finally managed to get away and you inhaled deeply, expanding your chest since Takai was holding you so tight. "What exactly am I doing, Takai? Tell me. How long were you actually watching us for?" Takai tried getting closer to you, but you pushed him away.
Big mistake.
Your husband then growled, grabbing your throat and pushing you against the desk. "Don't you ever push me away again, got it?" When you didn't respond, Takai squeezed your throat harder and hit you against the hard surface again. "GOT IT?!" You nodded, tears now forming in your e/c eyes. Takai's violent glare softened, and he hugged you close to him. "Good girl. Now, go"
You didn't know if he wanted you to go home, or back to the room, so you just went back home. You didn't talk to Takai at all for the rest of the evening, and went to bed early. In the morning, you saw an apology letter sitting on the kitchen table and some cookies, but you ripped the letter up and just ate the cookies.
A week went by and the bruises began to disappear, but the memories didn't. You couldn't tell anyone because nobody would believe you–Takai had too much power.
The day started off great. It was sunny, with no sight of clouds in the sky. Takai left for work early, so you didn't have any contact with him whatsoever. "Y/n" The familiar, raspy voice of Kōsuke instantly filled your ears, and you smiled gently. "Hi Kōsuke. Where's Yuuma and Hisoka?" Kōsuke grunted as he heard the names of his rivals come out of your mouth. "Hisoka's in another room, Yuuma went to the–" Kōsuke stopped. It looked as if he spaced out. "Kōsuke?" the man's pale eyebrows furrowed angrily. "Who hurt you?" He asked. Taken aback, you put your hands up in defense and shook your head. "N-Nobody, Kōsuke. Why?" Kōsuke gave you an unsure look, but then turned away. "Come here" You shook your head. "Why?" To be honest, you've had enough of the guys in general. "Please? I want to hug you" You reluctantly walked over, and sat in between Kōsuke. "You're warm" He muttered to himself as you leaned back on him. "You're tense, stop that" You laughed, slowly relaxing in the patient's arms.
After a bit of silence, you began to fall asleep, the soft rustling of Kōsuke's arms lulling you to sleep. You knew Kōsuke was dangerous, you just didn't know how dangerous he was. You couldn't help but smile. "I missed you, Kōsuke".
"I missed you too"
