It was now last day of April going into May. Marie was now at another nurses baby shower she knew from the hospital with Ricki as Ricki was dead set on winning the don't say baby or cross your leg game considering he only needed like six more pins. Some best friend he took mine the first ten minutes we were in the door, so tricky he is. Marie couldn't help but smile at the antics of her bestie. They were in a nice hotel about forty minutes away the same one her dad was using when he lied saying he was there around Christmas a few months back. There were so many people here it was actually a-coed shower it was mainly just nurses and some doctors and other medical personal she's worked with in the past. It was very overwhelming between the single ladies on the prowl scaring the men, and the doctors asking if she is happy working with Dylan and if she ever needs a new place to work to go ahead and let them know. While she was getting a drink in the corner trying to get abreak from all the people in the banquet hall as her friend started to open herpresents her husband helping her out both smiling happy he was the main xray technicianand labs man both were orphaned young so everyone here was basically family forboth of them now. As she was happy tofinally have a moments peace. 

"If I didn't know any better I would say you needa break." A familiar voice said. "Dr. Daniels. How are you enjoying yourself."She asked him with a smile. Truthfully he always freaked her out somethingabout him made her skin crawl but she could never pin point what it was. Rickihated him he said there's a quality about him that doesn't sit right it makeshis hair stand tall on the back of his neck. "I'm having a good time. This isfun when we can all get together and have fun every now and than. It's so niceto be able to celebrate someone's joy when they are being blessed. We all getso backed up with work I think people sometimes forget we need down town oncein awhile too." He said scratching the back of his head. "That is true. Littlemoments like this are rare but great. So how are you." Marie wanted to bepolite. "I'm good. Tired but good none the less. How are you at Meyer's placesince Eddie has gone?"

 "I love it there I still get to see all my happypatients faces and it's close to home, an dI get to work with great friends Iam very happy to be working there and lucky to Dr. Meyers is very good to hisemployees." "With all due respect it makes me wonder how good with some." "Excuseme?" "Oh no dear that was not meant to be taking as a hit to anyone it's just.Does he ever make you feel uncomfortable at all? I mean we were all fightinghard for you when we realized you were going to be looking for work. It justfelt like he was fighting a little too hard and I was a little nervous that maybehe was doing it for other reasons. I just want to make sure that you are comfortablewith working there." Daniels said back. "I feel extremely comfortable withwhere I am at. Look the truth is I have a bit of social anxiety and it makes itact up when I have to adjust in a new area, and Dylan is one of my best friendshe was just putting my best interests first. I never get a bad feeling aroundhim. In fact I find it weird that you find it odd when you are aware that weare friends and you didn't get nervous for me when Ricki or the others were fightingfor me. In fact I find it weird people were actually trying to buy me from Eddie. If I'm correct you were one ofthem were you not. Those things make me feel uncomfortable if you want thetruth about it."

 "I meant no offense honestly it's just great help is so hardto fine an d some of these nurse... I mean well look around their eitherincredible at their job or they're looking for a man with money. So when we hear word that a great worker is open it'sdefinitely worth the fight. I swear it was nothing but a compliment honestly it'sjust some of us are that desperate for hard workers you know we all want to bethe best we can and you know as well as anyone else that we can not so thatalone. I am sorry if you are offendedand just didn't want anyone to be trying to take advantage of you." "No one istaking advantage of me. Thank you for your concern but there is no need forworry. I am a little surprise by the worry I mean we've never really worked togetherofficially. I'm actually curious and was surprised to find your letter offer. Sinceyou are actually one of the few I never worked with personally before. I wasflattered and appreciate the offer but was still surprised by it."
