Present time"Fine I'll go. But do you guys even know where in Beacon Hills Klaus is?" Stiles walked over the counter and poured himself a drink, this was going to be a long week. This time it was Elena who spoke, "No but we figure we would just walk around and try to find him. Which granted will be quite difficult, since none of us have actually been there before." Stiles gulped down the rest of his drink and turned around "Yeah, about that. I sorta kind of grew up in Beacon Hills." everyone stared at Stiles in shock.
They all knew about Stiles' past and his old pack, they just didn't know where he used to live until now. "What a coincidence. That is so weird." Caroline spoke. "Yeah, my dad is actually the Sherriff there." Damon walked towards the door as he spoke, "Well that's perfect. You can call him on our way and tell him we're coming to visit." He opened the door and motioned everyone out. We all followed him outside and got into the car, heading for California.
Stiles was uncharacteristically quite throughout the entire trip. His mind was racing thinking about the possibility of running into the pack. Running into Derek. Stiles was used to the twinge of pain he felt in his chest at the thought of the older man. Stiles thought about him a lot. Hell, he was thinking about him even when he wasn't thinking of him.
He was always just there, in the forefront of his mind. Which really sucked when Stiles was trying to move on. Key word trying, he definitely did not succeed. To Stiles, just letting another guy buy him a drink felt like he was cheating on Derek. And Derek didn't even like him, let alone love him. Which Stiles understood. Derek was vulnerable that night and Stiles was there. And it's not like Stiles can blame Derek for not loving him back, he doesn't even love himself, so why should anyone else?
Stiles had called his dad when they first got in the car and explained the situation to him. He hung up after his dad reassured him that him and his friends could stay at the house for as long as they need. Did Stiles ever say he really loves his dad? No? Well, he does, a lot. After driving for almost 40 consecutive hours, and multiple stops for food and bathroom breaks, Damon finally parked the minivan Stiles insisted on him buying in the parking lot of Stiles' old house. They all made their way out of the car and inside once Noah had invited all of the vampires in.
After the humans all had something to eat, they walked right back out the door in search of Klaus. Elena decided to stay with Stefan at the house due to him being too weak to walk around. The rest of the group split up into pairs to find Klaus quicker. Stiles and Caroline headed towards the woods while Damon and Bonnie went to walk around the shops and restaurants.
The duo was walking through the preserve when Caroline stopped. "What is it?" Stiles asked, turning towards her. She held up her finger to signal him to be quiet. "I hear someone." They stood in silence for a few seconds before Caroline suddenly sped off ahead. "Caroline?!" Stiles tried running after her but he was only human so he lost sight of her. He stopped to catch his breath and walked towards where he could hear voices.

Meanwhile
The pack was all at the loft when Danny came running through the door. He jogged over to the couch where everyone was gathered around and started tapping on his tablet. "Danny what's wrong?" Lydia asked as she sat next to the panting boy. "You guys know how I put up those cameras spread out in the preserve?" They all nodded their heads in agreement as Danny finally stopped tapping, his tablet screen projected onto the TV.
"Well, I get a notification every time the camera detects a person or supernatural creature." The screen flashed with a live feed of what was happening on the camera. There was a brown-haired man with a slight beard, and a blonde. They seemed to be having a conversation so Danny turned up the volume. "Klaus, we need your help." The blonde one said.
