As I walked towards the beach, I saw only three people, way off into the distance. "really, only three people." I grumbled. "It's only 10am sweetie, calm down. there will be more people." my mom said optimistically."Okay, I am going to the store.I love you, and don't get in trouble." she said with a wink. Oh gosh, she takes forever in stores. I waited for her to leave and slathered some sunscreen on and stripped down to my bathing suit, which was a green shade to match my eyes. Whoops. I ran towards the bubbling water and smiled. Although there's old people and screaming kids here each year, the feeling of being in the water and that feeling of freedom is unbeatable. I jumped when a light finger tapped on my shoulder. "Mom?" I asked when I spun around. "Yes, I am mom." Said a sarcastic voice. He was- well, very handsome. Bright blue eyes and dark brown hair. And that V Line.... damn... "h-heyy, I am sorry I thought you were my mom..." I stuttered. "Ha it's fine. What's your name?" He asked. "Well what's yours?" I threw back with a smirk. He smirked and replied. "Hayes. Hayes Grier." I giggled. "Nice. Mine is Ann. Ann Hubbard." I said through giggles. "So why is someone like you over here with an outcast like me on the other side of the beach?" I asked sarcastically with actual wonder. "What do you mean, 'outcast like me'?" he said, furrowing his eyebrows and smiling. His blue eyes were digging into my soul, and it seemed like I couldn't pull away from them. "w-well I am in the marching band in school. No one really likes band people i guess... and I am hyperactive, and that annoys people, so yeahh... I am a hyperactive band geek...." I said red in the face. "why was a hot guy talking to me?" I asked myself. "Well there's nothing bad about being hyperactive, and being a band geek is actually cute." I blushed. Holy hell I blushed hard. I giggled and walked back towards the sand. We sat down on a towel I layed out. "So, you haven't answered my question, Hayes. Why are you here?" I asked him with a smile. He took a breath and said "well, first of all, I was bored." we both giggled. "second of all, I saw a shining star in the distance, so I had to check it out." I had a questioning look on my face, and he stared at me. "it was you." We stared into each other's eyes for a minute until a really tall guy with big blue eyes came up and yelled "HAAAAS OOOH GET SOME"
