time skip to 1982. we're at a sleepover at andrew's house.

andrew and i are laughing on the couch as george sits in the corner, crying. i look over to him. "hey, george? why are you crying?" i ask, sincerely. i'm worried for my friend. "nothing, y/n. it's nothing." he says. "there's something wrong, george, i can tell. you can tell me anything. you're my best friend." andrew says, looking at his best friend.

"i said it's nothing andrew. now leave it." george responds, sniffling but angry. andrew gets up and sits next to george, putting his arm around him. george collapses into andrew's arms.

andrew's point of view

i could tell there was something wrong with george. he never acts like this, he's usually a bubbly person. "i know there's something wrong, george. i'm your best friend. you can tell me absolutely anything." i say. "fine ... but can i not say it around y/n?" george whispers in my ear. "uh...sure. y/n?" i ask, looking at you. "yeah?" you respond, looking back at me. "okay...george wants to tell me something but he doesn't want you to be here. is that okay?" i ask. "oh yeah! it's fine." you respond, walking away.

"okay, what is it george?" i ask, looking concerned. "i'm bisexual...i like guys and girls." george says, looking at me. "oh...that's fine! but, why couldn't you say that around y/n?" i ask, confusedly. "i didn't want to hurt her." george responds. "that wouldn't have hurt her, george. she's a strong woman. trust me, she'd be fine." i respond. "alright..." george says, smiling. "one question...how are you gonna tell ariana?" i ask. "oh, she already knows. i wrote her a note." george responds, laughing.

your point of view

i walk back into the room and see george and andy laughing on the couch. "so, is everything okay now?" i ask. "yeah! i'm bisexual!" george responds, laughing. "oh!! that's so cool. i'm so proud of you for coming out, george." i respond. george gets up and runs over to hug me. "thank you, y/n." he whispers in my ear. andrew looks at us and smiles. george stops hugging me and starts crying tears of joy.
