Chapter 5

~Mackenzie~

"Ewww...tastes disgusting" I quickly spit my cracker choc mayo out. "Your right" Mark chokes. "I'm always right" I grin at him. He nods, "sure...! C'mon, help me clean up." I shake my head and say "later!"

"You are always procrastinating things" Mark shakes his head. "Oh I know! Let's go horse riding!" I excitedly clap my hands. "Hmm, okay then. It'll be fun" he says. "HELL yeah!!" I run up the stairs with SunShine on my heels. i pat her head. "don't worry darling, you can come to!" I say to her. She barks.

Quickly, I pull on a brown shirt with black skinny jeans and a denim jacket. I pull on riding boots too. I apply a thin layer of gloss, and then fix Sunshine's pink and blue collar. I grab her leash and tie it on. "Let's go!" I yell.

We start up the car and we're racing through the woods towards the horse riding area.

"Woah, boy steady." I cry, as my black horse jumps with two long lanky legs in the air. Mark chuckles at the fear I hold, and eases me. "It's gonna be okay" he says, getting onto his horse. "To heel, girl" I call Sunshine. She looks a bit aghast, to be honest.

"Let's go!" Cries Mark, already speeding up. "After him" I call, laughing, galloping after him.

Down the countryside, past the hills, through the farmyards we went. Finally, we reached our dead end, which was the cliff.

Sparkling happiness shoots through me, as I gasp for air. My hair hang around my slightly moist face.

After catching my breath, I jump off the horse. "Well? How was it?" I ask, going near the edge of a cliff. "Good, good and awesome!" Cheers Mark, pouring some water for Sunshine, who looks dead tired. "How'll we get her back?" I ask Mark. "I'll strap her up" he says, pointing to my horse. As amazing as it felt, we had to get home. We had already been out for half the day.

T'was getting dark, so Mark quickly strapped Sunshine onto his brown horse, but after my pouting and sulking, he pulled her open, and strapped her on mine.

He got on the horse, and me on mine.We rode back to the place, and then after some time, were in the car again, driving home.

"Caroline?" I ask, surprised. "HEY SIS! Surprise!!" She cried arousing with excitment. "What? Why are you here?" I ask. "Well, your excited" she sticks her lower lip out. "I am! But explain" I demanded. She sighed.

"Okay, fine. I'm due in 2 weeks, and the hospital is 5 minutes from your place. Mom thought it would be a good idea to stay here, as I could complete my cravings and shoot down to the hospital if wanted. She also thought that you'd be able to take care of me, and we'd be able to spend time together" she explains.

I laugh, and then show her Sunshine, who she coo's over, and starts playing with.

"Kenz?"

"Mhm?"

"Kenzie, I have a strange craving"

"*Sigh* what's that, Caro?"

"Strawberries!!!!"

"Hey, that's not so bad...."

"You haven't even heard it. Strawberries.......dipped in ketchup!!!!" She sighs, drawing her arm across her pregnant belly. My mouth opens.

"Strawberries?!? KETCUP!??!" I cry, hands flinging in the air. "Yes!!! Hurry, before it dies!" She cries dramatically. "Let it." I say in disgust, but get up anyway.

I pulled out a plate of fresh strawberries, then pulled out tomato sauce. "Here" I say.
She grabs one and dips it. "Mmmmm......heaven" she sighs. I give her a disgruntled look.

"What?" She smiles.

"Nothing. Your just so crazy" I smile back.

So, here's the update as promised. I got the load of homework off my back. :) -feeling happy.
