The sun beamed from the sky and birds chirped in the trees on this fine Monday morning. You sat cross legged on the empty wooden deck that overlooked the front garden ahead. Taking in a deep breath, you let the fresh air flow through your body and clear your mind. Eyelids closed but imagination open, you watched your ideas start to envision right before your eyes. It was a beautiful sight, and one you had hoped you can create in reality. Tightening the grip on the wooden pencil in between your fingers you made a mental note of all the details you were about to write down when you heard the sudden snap of a twig.

Eyes shooting open from the sudden intrusion you let out a gasp as you saw the slim figure of a man you’ve never seen before. Your little outburst managed to startle him as well but quickly regaining his composure he spoke, “Oh I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you. You were just so peaceful I wasn’t sure what to do and then I accidentally stepped on this little twig.”

Taking a pause, he now looked at you asking, “Are you from the real estate company?”

You, on the other hand couldn't stop yourself from staring at the rather sweet looking man in front of you. He wasn’t the usual type of tall, dark and handsome every woman fell for but there was still something very alluring about him that you believed even he was probably oblivious to. His dark eyes and deep reddish hair contrasted with the rest of his gentle features and even when you knew nothing about this man, every fibre in you was getting drawn towards him.

“Miss?” he called out softly to snap you out of your haze when you didn’t respond.

Finally blinking after what seemed like a whole minute you cleared your throat from the awkwardness and responded to his question.

“Oh uh sorry, I was just caught by surprise. I was informed that you will be coming tomorrow. So I decided to come today just to check the area I’ll be working on. I don’t work at the real estate company but they hired me to work on the garden. I’m a landscape designer.” you replied in hopes to clear any of his thoughts of you being a possible intruder on his property.

“I see.” he said, his hand instinctively coming up behind his head to rub it.

There was a bit of an awkward silence before he decided to fill it saying, “I didn’t plan to visit today but I had an unexpected cancellation at work so I thought of checking out the place too. Just to have an idea of furniture I might need to order.”

“Oh I see. Well, I will be out of here soon. I won’t be a bother.” you said before placing your free hand of the wooden deck to lift you off of it.

“Oh no no! Please continue with your work. It’s completely fine.” he protested with a light chuckle before taking a step towards you and extending an arm.

“I’m Yoongi. It’s nice meeting you.” he said with a warm smile, the same warmth emanating from his hand as you took it in yours and introduced yourself.

“Park Y/n. It’s nice meeting you too Yoongi.” you replied.

Bring up your notepad closer you decided to ask if he had any requests or ideas he had for his garden to which he replied “Nothing in particular. You have my consent to do as you please. You’re the expert. I’m sure you will do a great job.”

He noticed a subtle sparkle in your eyes at the mention of your freedom to do whatever you wanted. It brought a smile to his face to see you that way and for a moment he felt a tug at his heart that confused him.
