It was love at first sight. For Scarlet at least. The messed brown hair and warm brown eyes are what left her staring to begin with. Even in the dark nightclub and bar his casual demeanor shined through.
Scarlet was comfortable with getting guy's attention. She went up to him, "Hey." he turned towards her and greeted her with a warm smile that sent shivers down her spine.
"Hi there" he smiled again. His hand touched her bare arm. She instantly felt. Melted.
"I'm Scarlet."
"Matt." they happily kept on talking until the topic of relations popped up.
"Are you single". Scarlet asked excitedly hoping for the "Yes".
Matt's warm eyes darted away from her brown-green ones. "No." Scarlet looked away from him. "I have a girlfriend, Jacey"
"Oh ok. " replied Scarlet trying to hide the hurt.
"Sorry"
"No, it's fine" she shook her head as she walked away from the human form of perfection. As the night went on, she observed Matt for a while. Nothing really happened except three other guys occasionally going up to him and talking or laughing for awhile before walking away. It wasn't untill the blonde girl that Scarlet closed in.
A few bar stools away, Scarlet watched enviously as Matt planted a casual yet meaningfull kiss on the bombshell's lips. She was honestly pretty with blonde hair and a curvy body. Probably Jacey.
"Yeah. Some girl tried to make a move on me" the couple laughed as the hairs on the back of Scarlet's neck rose. They were talking about her in a disgustd way. Sh felt anger bubble inside.
"I can see why" she murmured as they kissed again. He laughed dispute himself. "What'd you say?"
"She started the topic of relationships and asked if I was single." She nodded understandingly.
Scarlet felt anger get stuck in her throat. But her love for Matt was a strange thing. Never one faltering.
The girl left and some strong force caused her to follow her out. She was meters behind her as they wandered around te corner and into a dark alley where a black sports car sat. Jacey got in the backseat but didn't start the engine.
Scarlet watched from the shadows waiting for something to happen. She was caught up that she didn't notice Matt behind her untill he spoke.
"What are you doing here?" he murmured. Scarlet looked at the human form of perfection loss of words.
"I Uhm, Matt right?" she fixed the conversation cautiously.
"Yeah." another smile. "Matt Webb" Scarlet nodded taking in a mental note of his name.
"I'm Scarlet." she flashed him a seductive smile.
"Bye" he said before turning into the dark alley way. Sighing, she watched as Matt got into the backset smiling. The engine still didn't strt.
Not wanting to go back to the bar, she crossed the street where her luxury sports car sat. Climbing in she killed the engine.
As she exited off the street by passing the alley where Jacey's car sat. She couldn't help but notice the lights were off, the car wasn't moving and yet the engine was on.
She idled in the spot watching the car. But after 15 minutes of waiting, she got the message loud and clear when it didn't leave.
