I was now at least 30 minutes away from my house. I stopped at McDonald's and ate then headed back out. I pulled the money out of my pocket and counted it. I had $230 left. I stuffed the money in my pocket and pulled out my iPod. I plugged in my earphones and put them in my ears. As I walked down the street listening to K.Michelle's Can't Raise a Man, I felt someone tap me. I jumped and pulled my one earphone out. This fine ass dude was looking me up and down.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

"What's a girl like you walking out here all by yourself?" He replied.

"A girl like me? What's that supposed to mean?" I said with a little attitude.

He chuckled.

"Nah ma, I ain't mean it like that. I was saying you too cute to be out here alone. It's some crazy ass people out here at night." He said.

Damn his voice sexy.

"Well ima let you go now. Judging by those two bags, you got a long journey ahead of you. Peace ma." He winked at me and walked off.

I watched as he walked away.

"W-Wait! I-I didn't get your name." I yelled out.

"Call me Tyler!" He yelled back with a smirk and continued walking.

"Tyler." I said to myself and smiled.

Tyler's POV:

"Ty when we gon make this drop?" My bestfriend Adrian asked.

"Soon man, it ain't time yet." I replied while hitting a blunt and looking out the window.

"What you thinking about man?" Adrian asked.

"Nothing. Just looking." I replied.

Truth is, I was thinking about that girl from earlier. She was too damn fine to be walking by herself on that crazy ass street.

"Man, I've known you for 15 years. Nigga, I know when you got some shit on yo mind." He said.

I laughed a little. He always know me.

"I met this girl earlier." I said.

"Ooo was she sexy?" Adrian asked

"Hell yeah. But she ain't really in to me though. I ain't even catch her name." I said.

"Damn." Adrian laughed a little. He pat my back.

"Can't get them all the time man." He said.

"I guess not." I replied, looking back out the window and taking another hit.

Kayla's POV:

It's a new day and I gotta get back on my feet. Last night I didn't sleep at all. I just sat on a bench and listened to music. I'm real sleepy now. As I continued listening to my music, I saw a old lady having trouble getting a cart. I sighed and helped her pull out a cart.

"Well thank you baby." She said.

"No problem." I replied, going back outside and sitting on a bench.

~1 Hour Later~

The same old lady came back out with a cart full of groceries. She stopped right next to me and put her hand on her hip.

"Child, how long have you been sitting out here?" She asked.

I shrugged my shoulders.

"Are you waiting on somebody?" She asked.

I shook my head and looked down at my dirty converse.

"Well honey, did you run away or something?" She asked, kind of like a joke.

I stayed quiet.

"I thought so. Come with me." She said pushing the cart.

I gave her a confused look.

"Did you hear me?" She stopped and asked.

"N-Not to be rude or anything,but.. I don't know you ma'am." I said.

"Well would you rather sit on this dirty bench for who knows how long or do you wanna get cleaned up?" The woman asked.

I sat there for a second. She does have a point. This bench is dirty as fuck and I sure could use a hot shower. I decided to go with her. I helped her push the cart and put the groceries in her car. She had one of them old school cars. You know them cars that some grandmas be driving that never break? Yeah, that. Anyway, I got in the car and looked out the window as she drove off.

"How old are you honey?" She asked.

"17." I replied.

She sighed and shook her head.

"Well why are you running away from home?" She asks so many questions.

"Because my foster parents were gonna sell me to some stranger and I would have to be a sex slave.' I said, like it was nothing.

The woman stopped the car so quick.

"WHAT?!?" She yelled, making me jump.

"OOOO IMA PRAY FOR THEM IDIOTS. THEY LUCKY IM A CHRISTIAN!." She yelled.

I laughed a little. We finally made it to her house. It was really nice. I helped her take in the groceries and unpack them.

"Your room is upstairs to the left." She said, while opening a can of cranberries.

"Ok, thank you." I said as I walked up the steps.

I finally made it inside the room. It as beautiful! There was a queen size bed, a desk, a dresser, and a bathroom-Wait A BATHROOM?!? I've NEVER had my own bathroom, I had to share one small one with 23 kids. I was so happy. I walked out of the room and down the hall. There were four other rooms. The first room had a desk, computer, and bookshelf. The second room was more like a game room. What does an old lady need a game room for? I walked into the third room and it had blue walls and basically blue everything. It was really nice. It smelled like cologne in there too. I wonder who's room this is. I went inside the bathroom and took a shower, washing my hair, face, and body. When I was done I got out and dried off, put deodorant and lotion on.

I left the bathroom and got dressed in my new room (Outfit in the media box. Created by dayana-luvs-u on polyvore) . I then put my hair in a bun and put on a little lip gloss. As I headed downstairs, the front door opened.

"Mama I'm.....home?" The person said. .

We stared at each other. It's him..
