Chapter 7

Hayes grins and laughs.
"Why waste water?" And winks.
"Hayes no!!" I say running but he stops me.
"Fine, but you owe me." He said smiling and walking away.
After my shower I change into pajamas and finally fall asleep.
--Next morning--
When I wake up I see that Hayes isn't here. That's weird, it's 8am?
I put on my outfit for the day, blue top and black high wasted shorts, and converse. I brush my teeth and apply mascara. I walk down stair and turn the corner by the elevators, I click the button and the doors open. But then I hear; "Hayes don't you want this to work?" I look around the corner and I see Hayes with his arm around another girl!
"What the hell?!" I say. I can't move, those were the only words that would come out of my mouth.
Hayes looks up, when I realize what has happened. I run, and I don't stop running until I get to my room. I open it with the key card and lock it behind me. My back is to the door and I just slide down and hug my knees. How could I be so stupid?
Then there's knocks on the door.
I look through the peep hole and I see Hayes.
"Go away!!" I yell.
"Anna. Let me explain! I'm sorry." I hear the sad in his voice and it hurts me. I unlock the door and walk to my bed and lay down. Just then I hear the door open.
"Anna-" I cut him off.
"Hayes you have a girlfriend!?!?!"
"N-no Ann-" I cut him off again.
"Stop just leave me alone." I yell. He stares at me and I see the hurt in his eyes.
He's deserves it don't feel bad.
He sits on his bed with his head in his hands.
"I'm so fucking stupid!" He yells.
"Hayes sto-"
"No Anna you don't even know what really happened. She's not my girlfriend but you don't believe me!"
"How can I believe you? You don't give me a reason to believe you."
"Because I like you Anna, I liked as soon as I laid eyes on you." He says quietly.
"Really..?" I say shocked.
"Please let me explain." He says looking up at me.
"Explain." I finally gave in.
"She came here all the way from Florida just to talk to me, we used to date. Used to. She came here to see if I felt the same. She was sad so I put my arm around her and she asked me if I wanted things to work." He says with a sigh.
"Then you came. And after you ran I told her how I felt. And I didn't think it was a good idea to get back together and then I ran after you."
I couldn't say anything. I just sat there. A huge wave of relief flew over me.
"I am so sorry." I say and put my hand over my face. When I sit up I just hug him. We just hugged.
I feel safe, like this is where I'm supposed to be. We belong together. Maybe this won't be so bad after all..
