" Mom...I love her so much. Please...understand…" Dhruv begged.

" I know what is good for my son. And I always want to give my son the best." She replied.

" Amrutha is your best friend's daughter. Then why can't you accept her as your daughter in law. ? " Dhruv questioned.

" And I still remember, I promised my friend that she will be my future daughter in law when Amrutha's mother is pregnant," she said with a sad voice.

Dhruv stood numb with her statement.

" But….my son's safety is important to me not my promise to my best friend" she added.

" Anna( mom), what are you talking about? My safety?" Dhruv questioned.

" Yes… If those people come to know that you are going to marry Amrutha then they kill you. Those people will do anything for her property. Stay away from her. '' his mom pleaded to Dhruv.

" So you ask her to leave knowing that her life is in danger? If she is your daughter then also you think like that... " He asked his mom.

" Please...Dhruv, don't pester me. I am guilty of thinking like that but I cannot risk your life. Please… try to understand your mother's heart. You and Karthik are my two eyes. "  she cried holding his hand.

" Amma… Please don't cry. We can find some solution to this problem." He hugged his mother.

"  But remember my word, if I marry anyone in my life then it will be my Ammu," saying he left for his company.

….

…..

After Dhruv reached the company, he dialed Arvind to meet at his office immediately. He canceled all the meetings on that day.

Arvind came to his company within one hour. Dhruv discussed everything that happened at his house. Arvind felt very sad after listening to Dhruv's words.

"  As a brother, I thought you were the best but I failed to think about you as your best friend. I am very sorry. If Aunty doesn't want to marry my sister it is okay. Just forget what we talked about yesterday. " Arvind said with a dull face.

" Don't be sad. I love your sister and never leave her side. Till last night, I never expressed my love for your sister thinking about our friendship. I thought if you came to know my feelings on your sister you might be that I betrayed our friendship. But from now onwards I don't care about anyone or any danger." Dhruv expressed his view strongly.

" My sister is so lucky to get a life partner like you. " Arvind said emotionally.

" Okay, tell me how Amrutha's health is. Did she go to college?" Dhruv asked.

" She is fine but I asked her to take some rest" Arvind informed.

" Good. Let me know who are the people behind all the problems.? " Dhruv inquired.

" The main person is Himesh Kamshi. My mother's cousin's brother. As my mother is the only daughter to my maternal grandparents, Himesh Kamshi Gowd used to help my grandfather in his business. But they realized very late about his funny nature. Then my grandfather made a will that all the property belongs to their granddaughter. Now he wanted to claim that property by getting married to his son, Lokesh Kashmi. They forced my grandparents to agree on marriage with my sister but grandfather denied their request. After a few days, they met in an accident. I doubted their death and investigated through my police friend. Then I came to know about the truth of my grandparent's death. '' Arvind narrated.

" For my sister's security, we brought her to the city. She pleaded with me to study further so I cannot deny my little princess request. I joined her in Karthik's college by convincing my father with great difficulty." Arvind explained.

" Shall we reopen, your grandparent's death case again?"  Dhruv suggested.

" There is no use. All the evidence against him was changed. We are helpless" Arvind informed.

" Okay then let me think for some time so that we close this issue permanently. Don't be upset about Amrutha's security. From now, we together protect Amrutha from evil's eyes" Dhruv promised.

When they were talking, Dhruv's mother entered his cabin. She glared at Arvind and kept the lunch bag on Dhruv's table.

" Hope you will not skip lunch…" She walked out of her cabin while giving a serious look at Arvind.

After ten minutes, Arvind went to his office bidding bye to Dhruv.

...….

.....

" Mom...shall we eat lunch together?" Dhruv asked, opening the door of his mom's cabin.

" So...you remembered your mother, now?"  She asked Dhruv.

" Come on mom, don't be angry at me." He pleaded to his mom.

"  Tell me frankly, don't you like Ammu? Is she not good for me?" He asked his mother.

" Don't ask me anything, I cannot accept this marriage if your life is at risk. I cannot imagine…." She cried hugging Dhruv.

" My dear mom,  Nothing will happen to me. I will solve every problem before our marriage.  Please trust me. " Dhruv consoled her and wiped her tears.

" As a mother, I am worried about you." She answered.

" Okay. Shall we start doing our lunch? I am so hungry?" He asked his mother to place his hands on his stomach.

She nodded her head and served the food on the plate. Then she fed the food with a small morsel to Dhruv.

" It's so tasty. You are the best." Saying Dhruv swallowed the food.

" I know all these compliments till you get married to Ammu. " She pinched on his arms playfully.

" So you agreed to our marriage?" Dhruv asked her excitedly.

She nodded her head with a radiant smile on her face.

" You are truly the best mom in this world" he lifted her in his arms and twirled her.

" Dhruv…"

"Dhruv….stop. My head is spinning...please " She slapped his arms.

He dropped his mother on the floor and hugged her tightly with happiness.

" Shall I inform Arvind? " Dhruv asked.

" Wait. I will talk to Arvind's father first," she said.

" Okay, mom as you wish. " Dhruv said in a low voice.
