It was on a Wednesday that my friend Finn died from a disease that I couldn't even pronounce.
It was Friday when I found out.
The loudspeaker came on during Art class (his favorite class) announcing that Riverdale High had lost one of its students.
His empty desk screamed at us.
The teacher had started to cry, and a lot of people had just stared and stared, until the silence was so heavy that it collapsed on itself.
I didn't even have enough energy to care that people who didn't give a damn about Finn Romans before had started to cry right there and then.
I just looked at the desk behind me and wondered why life decided that I got to be there and he didn't.
I'm sure he would have laughed had he seen me trying to blink back tears.
