"But no matter what I do, the cries go unheard. Yet I still believe in you, every breath, every word~"

The door opened up, the small amount of unnatural light entering the room. Suzette peers up from her position on the bed, squinting to see who exactly was visiting her now. Her eyes drop when she sees two figures near her, a deep frown ruining her light features.

"What do you both want?" She remarks, casting her head to look out the small window in her prison cell of a holding room.

You glance at Carlin, reaching into the backpack you had deemed him in charge of. You pulled out a brush and a pair of scissors, holding them up with a smile. Carlin, seeing it was his turn held up a chocolate bar, shyly waving them as well.

"We came to hang out and fix your hair." You spoke, walking forward and pausing by Suzette's bed.

She touches her single braid, remembering the impromptu hair cut she had been given yesterday night. It had been a few hours since then, the morning light nearly turning into afternoon.

"Fine." The blond mumbled, untying the braid and letting it fall. It was much longer and you'd have your work cut out for you in trying to make it even again.

"Do you want to talk?" Carlin asks, moving himself up on the bed and digging through the bag once more. He pulls out a small mp3 players and a pair of headsets. "I thought you might want some music."

Suzette bits her lip hard, eyes shifting between Carlin to the outline of her former Queen she sees behind her. How did it end up like this? How could they talk and chat so normally after everything they had done.

"Traitors... dirty filthy traitors. Do you feel no remorse?" She speaks with venom, causing your actions to stop momentarily on her hair.

"I was forced to see that my way of thinking was wrong you know. He left me to perish with no regret... please Suzette let him go before it's too late and you make a mistake you regret."

"Regret!?" She chuckles, grabbing the headsets and player and tossing them against the wall nearby. "The only regret I have is not killing you when I had the chance! We may be friendly right now, but I assure you the next time we meet... I'll be anything but."

"You're not being friendly right now..." Carline trailed off, tugging at you sleeve.

You nodded, snipping the last uneven strand. You glanced at Suzette one last time before heading towards the door.

"Wait." She spoke out, causing you and Carlin to stop and look at her once more.

She turned her olive green eyes to meet (eye color) and black ones across the room. She smirks and then lets out a snicker.

"Just like me... they'll be coming for you (Name)... and when they do- no one will be coming to save you."

Your eyes narrowed and you opened the door, pushing Carlin out as you continued out as well. But before you left Link once more, you muttered a final few words to her.

"No one has before... so I'm prepared."

You walked out with Carlin, shaking your head to Aizawa as he bolted the doors and handed the key back to Midnight.

"You can't save everyone, (Name)-chan..." Midnight tells you.

You shake your head and give her an emotional state, your bottom lip being chewed and bitten.

"Even so... that doesn't mean I shouldn't try."

The two pros left you both leave, seeing as how anything they said now would do no good. Things were best left unsaid at this point.
