POV-𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫

They got off the train and practically sprinted to the studio. They had finally made it and heard the sound of Uenoyama's guitar and Mafuyu humming along to his riff. Haruki walked with Aki not realizing they were still holding hands. "So that's why you two were late?" Uenoyama while smirking and staring at their hands. "Did you guys finally get together?!" Mafuyu said with stars in his eyes, Aki and Haruki locked eyes and then looked at their intertwined hands they quickly let go of each other. "Ahem... sorry we were late we had lost track of time at a cafe," Haruki said trying to avoid his other band members' eyes. Uenoyama whispered to Mafuyu and they both giggled like children. "I guess no dinner for you then Uenoyama," Harki said crossing his arms like a mother scolding her toddler. "What?! No fair it's not my fault you guys were late so you're paying for dinner still," he said in a whiny tone. "And stop infesting our poor Mafuyu," Haruki said while going behind Mafuyu and hugging him around the shoulders. "I am not infesting him!" the raven-haired boy said flustered. "Yeah yeah sure you two lover birds hang off of one another as though you're glued to the hip," Haruki said laughing. Akihiko chuckled at the banter of his bandmates, he was mainly staring at Haruki the whole time he wondered why he never denied that they were together and quickly brushed those thoughts off and locked them in the back of his head but o no avail throughout practice he kept thinking about it and he couldn't seem to shut those thoughts up either. Then of course he felt guilt... he thought "I shouldn't be thinking these things,"

Before he could realize it they had finished practice and they were already on their way to the diner they usually go to. "Akihiko, Earth to Akihiko you ok?" Aki's attention snapped to Haruki who was standing next to him, "...oh I'm fine sorry I just got preoccupied with my thoughts." Haruki looked at the other with worry-filled eyes, "you can talk to me ya know and also I was wondering...if you'd like to stay at my place for a while?" Aki looked at Haruki with a shocked expression "you'd let me do that??" "Of course you're always welcome," Uenoyama called up from ahead with his arm wrapped around Mafuyu's neck "come on you two you can flirt later." They all entered the diner and sat down at their usual spot eventually ordering. "Uenoyama and I are going on a school trip just for our grade we won't be back for a few days," Mafuyu said then taking a sip of his milkshake. "Oh? Make sure to use protection" Aki said nonchalantly, Ritsuka choked on his drink and coughed, "WH-?!" Mafuyu patted his lover on the back. They all laughed at his reddened expression, "well overall we do hope you two enjoy your trip and we're proud of you both for finishing high school." They smiled, Haruki then decided to tell the boys... "We actually do have some news...we're officially roommates for now." Uenoyama and Mafuyu snickered and both said in unison "use protection," both Haruki and Akihiko both looked away embarrassed. They all laugh at jokes and catch up with each other, after finishing their meals they all waved goodbye and walked home. "Hey so... do you wanna explore for a little?" Haruki said taking Akihiko's hand "we can get stuff for you while we are out... so you feel more at...home..." Haruki said looking at Akihiko as Aki was putting a strand of Haruki's loose hair behind his ear "oh- sorry you had a loose strand," he said, Haruki held his hand that was caressing his ear for a second then let go and cleared his throat as he turned away and said in a low voice "thanks..." he walked in front of Akihiko to avoid any embarrassment of Aki pointing out how red his face is.____

They walked around and went into a furniture store. Aki picked out some lights that he'd hang up and Haruki got him a bed set and a giant plush, " you got me a teddy bear" Akihiko said laughing, "yeah it looks just like you Mr.poker face," Haruki snickered and mocking copied Aki's resting face. and The sound of laughter filled the space between them, "this is nice" Akihiko thought in his head smiling at Haruki's face as the world went incoherent around them and the last of the sunset's rays fixated on Haruki's skin making it glow even more. Aki cleared his throat and they made their way to the cash register to check out. They walked out of the store and walked to an abandoned grassy area with a tree and sat there observing the scenery. Akihiko laid his head on Haruki's lap, Haruki just smiled remembering back to the days when they had been really getting to know each other, back to the days when they weren't worried about soulmates and love and relationships they just reveled in each other's company. "Haruki?.." Akihiko asked staring up at the clouds, "yeah?" Haruki looked at Aki feeling as though he was in a daze then he noticed something... the colors he saw more of them he's seen it before but not quite like how it used to be when he was younger Akihiko's hair was blonde and skin was no longer random shades of green, blue, and yellow it looked, beautiful to him. He believed the color to be peach with undertones of red on his cheeks and nose probably a sunburn. "I don't think I love him." Haruki stopped breathing for a second trying to take in Akihiko's words. "You may be thinking how is that possible and-" "I understand," Haruki interrupted he locked eyes with Aki, he exhaled and stared up at the clouds and smiled and looked back at Aki as he played with his short hair "In all honesty, I was always afraid of finding my soulmate and then not loving them and I was scared of finding someone who wasn't my soulmate and falling in love with them because I wouldn't know what to do ya know" Aki chuckled "seems that your fear has become my reality."_____

The both of them side by side walked toward the train station as the moon was going to make its appearance. They got on the train sitting next to each other their hands brushing against one another's. Finally, the train had stopped and they walked out of the train station with the bags in their hands. Haruki snickered as they walked past the coffee shop recollecting what had happened earlier that afternoon, Aki looked in the direction of the coffee shop and blushed "you're seriously still making fun of me for that?!" Haruki laughed at the other's flustered face. They walked shoulder to shoulder teasingly bumping their shoulders together as they walked home. Haruki unlocks the door to his apartment, Aki a few steps down and catches up and steps right into his new home as he closes the door behind him he takes in more of Haruki's apartment. "You really do know how to decorate well," he said admiring the plants, paintings, and other furniture in the room" Haruki smiled as he went to put down the bedding in Aki's new room. "We can always buy more stuff to decorate your new room as you get settled in and since I'm letting you stay here you need to help out around the house," Aki sat on a chair in his new room, "yeah, yeah alright" he said rolling his eyes and smiling softly. He set up his bed with Haruki's help of course and plopped the pillows onto the bed along with the giant stuffed animal Haruki got him and plopped himself on the bed it had gotten quite dark and he was already exhausted Haruki turned off the lights and was about to leave when Aki hugged him from behind and placed his head on Haruki's shoulder, "thank you..." Haruki cleared his throat and said in a low voice "You're welcome, I'll see you in the morning Aki." Akihiko was left in his room to contemplate on the events of the day and with the pounding of his chest, "...shit" he said as he clenched his shirt right above where his heart lies, he laid on his back gazing at the ceiling and the blue tones of the night painting the walls, "I need to see a doctor or some crap..." he grumbled as he ran his hand through his hair and looked at the giant plush and squeezed it in his arms drifting off to sleep.__
