I opened the doors to a big manor. I was invited here, the letter says I can start a new life in an interesting game, prizes to help lure people to here. It was quiet, I could hear a few people talking, but it sounded quite far. The place was spacious, and not a single soul in sight, or so I thought.

While looking around, I saw a man with black hair watching me. He looked like a miner of some sort and was watching me from the inside balcony. I stared at him and we made eye contact for a little while before I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to see who it was, and a tall man with white hair stared back at me. He was quite tall and had his hair in a small ponytail, tied with a blue ribbon.

"Are you new here?" I nodded. "Hm, I see. Well, lunch is starting soon, everyone's in the dining room if you'd like to join." I hope this guy knows sign language, I'm not in the mood to write right now. I signed a short "Sure."

"Splendid, follow me then, Victor Grantz." He bowed to me and walked down a few hallways. He's probably the host here. He looks quite old, but I'm not one to judge. He stopped in front of a door and opened it, gesturing for me to go inside. I hesitated, then walked in, waving a small goodbye to the man who brought me here

Lunch, huh? I sighed and sat down at one of the couches lying around. I only just arrived, I don't think I trust this place enough to get any of their food. I looked at the almost full table of people. All the laughing, talking, just friends being happy and joking around.

I smiled softly at the thought of having a friend group I can hang out with. Everyone in this manor seems so cool, I'd kill to be friends with at least one of them. Even outside the manor, no one bothered to try to get close to me. Perhaps this could be a new life..

"I bet you wish that was you, huh." A deep and sort of loud voice spoke behind me

"Eh?" I flinched and whipped around to see who interrupted my thoughts. Ah, it's that guy from before, I wonder if he needs anything. I watched him in slight curiosity.

He walked around me and sat next to a couch near mine. "What? You seemed to be watching all of them talk so longingly."

Was he- watching me? I hastily pulled out my notepad and started to write. "Were you watching me? For how long?"

He covered his mouth lazily with one hand, hiding a small smile. He turned away and I heard him chuckling silently. Did he think this was funny? I tilted my head. He turned back to me and shrugged, still chuckling.

"What's so funny?"

He shrugged once more. "I don't know, I just think it's sort of cute that you seemed so worried about me possibly stalking you."

Cute? Why is he complimenting me so suddenly? I felt my face go slightly red. "Well were you?"

He shook his head. "Nah, I have better things to do than spend my time watching someone. I only just came in and happened to see you daydreaming. You should talk to them, you know. They don't bite, I swear. Well maybe some do but your intuition should tell you who does and doesn't."

Bite? I didn't know people bit others here, I thought only Wick had a biting problem. "What about you? What if I wanted to befriend you?"

"Me? Well jeez, I guess your intuition is quite bad. If you get too close to me, I'll bite ya!" He had a teasing tone, I hope he was joking. He won't bite me will he? When can I leave.. I don't wanna be bit, please don't bite me- I looked down and started to tear up a bit, this man is getting kind of scary.

"Wait wait don't take me seriously, god please don't cry everyone will think I'm a bad person." He lifted my head up and hastily wiped my tears, looking around in a panic. "You can be my friend, okay? I'm Norton Campbell. And if I remember correctly, you're Victor Grantz, right?"
