The sun began to rise over The Boiling Isles, everything seemed as normal as it could be.....well....as normal as griffins spewing live spiders could be counted as normal. However, The Boiling Isles isn't normal even though it was as real as the human world could be, especially since giraffes came from the same place. Cyclops, witches, demons, and other type of magical entities exist here on The Boiling Isles, which is everything that has been considered a myth in the human world. The only thing that wasn't considered normal in The Boiling Isles were humans, they were considered abnormal, strange, a wonder amongst the witches of this magical place. Luz Noceda, the only human in The Boiling Isles, was changing that fact every day she had been here in her new home, The Owl House. She had only been here for a month, or two really, but she was learning so many new things every day. She had learned four spells, learned how to wield a staff, is currently enrolled in the magical school of Hexside, and has made new friends. Luz had also been on countless adventures, whether with her mentor Eda, her best demon friend King, or her fellow witch friends, Gus Porter, Willow Park, the twins Edric and Emira Blight, and Amity Blight. New things had been learned, whether it's magic, from each other, both good and bad, they were all changing everyday in some way, shape, or form. However, the lastest adventure of Luz Noceda was probably her most dangerous adventure so far, after all, rarely anyone that has faced off against Emperor Belos has lived to tell the tale.....not that Luz was planning on doing that anyways. She wasn't ready to tell her friends, not just yet, especially since it happened only yesterday. Maybe they already knew? Again, it was hard to tell since that battle wasn't publicly broadcasted, unlike Eda, her sister Lilith, and King almost being petrified was live on all of the tv globes in The Boiling Isles. Honestly, Luz was just hoping for a normal day at Hexside, where the be would scream for classes to start, where students could learn in their tracks, and where she could finally relax with her friends.
Suddenly, there was the sound of a repeated thud echoing in The Owl House, where was it coming from directly? From the front door of course since Hooty was hooting up a storm, from whatever was pounding on him, and just because it was a habit of his. "O-Ow Ow! HOOT HOOT WHY ME?!" Hooty shouted, which was what finally motivated Luz to groggily get out of her sleeping bag. It was earlier than what she was used to getting up at, usually it wouldn't be an hour or more until she would get up and get ready for school. Since she was only in her pajamas, a short grey tanktop and purple shorts, she grabbed a big blanket to wrap around herself before leaving her room. Hooty was still hooting away as the banging on his face and door never ceased, which prompted Luz to move a little bit faster down the stairs, but not to fast where she'd trip on her blanket and fall down the steps. Before she reached the door, she heard a familiar voice shouting from outside. "OPEN UP BIRD TUBE I NEED TO SEE LUZ!" the voice demanded, and Luz instantly recognized who it belonged to. "Amity? What's she doing here so early in the morning?......" Luz mentally asked herself, it was unexpected that was for certain, and there was no logical reason for Amity to be visiting so early in the day, well none that Luz could think of anyways. Just before Luz could even reach out to open the door, Hooty opened himself up since he couldn't take any more of the aggressive pounding from Amity. One second, Luz was reaching to open the door, then the next thing she saw was Amity losing her balance on her crutches when she went to knock some more, and she was falling towards Luz.
"WAUGH!" Amity yelped, she wasn't expecting Hooty to open up, much less without warning, nor was she expecting Luz to be standing right behind the door. She wasn't properly balanced anymore on her crutches since she thought she could adjust her grip after Hooty would finally agree to open up. Well Hooty did, but that just caused Amity to fall forward, and onto Luz the second he did just that. Luz wasn't prepared to catch Amity, so they both crashed onto the ground. They both groaned, Luz from hitting her head on the cold wooden floor, and Amity from aggravating her injured leg that was still healing in her cast. The sun continued to rise over the horizon, showing that it was going to be a beautiful day as the rays of sunshine shined into The Owl House through the windows, through the open space where Hooty still had himself open from earlier, casting the fallen duo in the warm morning glow of the new day. Time seemed to slow down for Amity as she regained her senses from the fall, for Luz it felt like a couple seconds, but for Amity it felt like hours as she stared down at the human. The light caught Luz just right, her hazel eyes seemed to glow in every beautiful shade of brown and yellow, her smile seemed brighter than ever as she was eager to say hello to Amity, and that caused the witch to start blushing as her breath hitched in her throat. "Morning Amity!" Luz greeted as she started to sit up, her tone of voice cheerful and unbothered by the fact that Amity had fallen onto her, which seemed to snap Amity out of her very short trance. "Luz!! Are you ok?!?!" Amity asked with extreme worry and concern as she cupped Luz's face, and squeezed her face just a bit so she could look all over her head for any signs of any bruising, scratches or bumps. "I-I should be asking you that!" Luz replied, feeling Amity search her whole head for any type of injury, which just made her messy brown hair even messier. "I'm fine! Are you ok?!" Amity asked once again, finally staring directly into Luz's hazel eyes with her emerald eyes, intent on having Luz answer her question despite the fact they were both still on the ground together. "Y-Yeah, yeah I'm ok, I'm ok~" Luz reassured with another one of sweet smiles, it felt nice to know that Amity was concerned over Luz's physical well being, even though it was just a simple little fall. Amity seemed relieved upon hearing that, a small smile forming on her face a she slowly let go of Luz's face. A couple seconds of silence had passed, long enough for Luz to notice that Amity was already ready for the day. Amity's dyed green hair was brushed, and the bangs pulled back into a type of ponytail which Luz was told by Amity herself that it just helped to keep the her hair out of her eyes. Amity was also wearing her school uniform, the sleeves a dark shade of purple to show that the witch is in the abomination track in Hexside, and that briefly reminded Luz that she was also in that same track and all of the other tracks besides potions. However, Luz didn't have the chance to make anymore observations or even say a single word before she was grabbed by the front of her tanktop by none other than Amity, who was still on Luz's lap during all of this, and not even a second had passed before she was being shaken back and forth by Amity as well. "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?!" Amity shouted as she shook Luz back and forth, clearly angry for whatever reason. "WaAaAaAaAaAah!" Luz yelped as she was shaken violently, unprepared for what Amity was about to say next. "YOU BROKE EDA OUT OF THE EMPEROR'S PRISON?!?!" Amity shouted, then that's when Luz realized that Amity was angry at the fact that Luz did something so reckless, but also worried that she had also gotten hurt in the process. As Amity Continued to shake Luz, spouting even more questions, Eda just stood there in the kitchen doorframe, just watching all of this in her pajamas as she sipped whatever drink it was from her mug. "Shouldn't we do something?" King asked as he looked up at Eda, he was also standing next to her in his pajamas as well, he even had a tiny night cap on his broken horn as he squeezed a stuffed animal. "Nah just let Amity tire herself out" Eda shrugged before turning around and headed into the kitchen, prepared to make breakfast that morning.
