Chapter 4

{Third person POV}
Nobody other than the student council president had been able to beat Yumeko. Or so that's what was thought. You had managed to win against her. She was sure she wouldn't lose but she was wrong. From then on, Yumeko was more amazed by you. 'Such a fascinating person..' she thought.

Mary had heard about your win over Yumeko and she was shocked. 'How could an average student beat her!? Y/N had to have cheated... but Yumeko would have noticed..' she said to herself. 'Hmph! I want to see how good she really is' she thought.

{Your POV}
I was sitting at my desk after class, flipping through my book and guess who had to come over to me? Fucking Ryota. I'm sick of him. 'What is it now Ryota?' 'Hey Y/N' he says. 'I heard about your gamble with Yumeko. How did you win?' 'Pure luck' I say. I pick up some of my books from the desk. 'You must've cheated! Only the president has the skills to win on her own against Yumeko' He says. 'If I did, she would've known straight away' I told him. He was really dense at times. He talked about some other random stuff then he brings up Mary. 'She's been watching you from a distance a lot today.. did something happen?' He asks. 'Really?' I turn to look at Mary who quickly takes her eyes off me and looks at Itsuki. So she has been watching me. That's odd.. Ryota finally says 'well, I better go, bye Y/N' I sigh and say 'bye' and get up from my desk.  I pick up my stuff and head to my dorm room. I was in my room and I put my books down on the desk. The thought of Mary watching me all day has lingered in my mind. I tidied up a little bit, putting my stuff away when there was a knock at the door. I opened the door to see none other than Mary stood outside. 'Hey Y/N' she said. 'Uh hey Mary' I say. 'Heard about your gamble. How'd you do it?' she asked. 'I don't know, just pure luck I guess' I told her. 'Don't lie' she said with a tone. I looked at her with a confused look. 'What?' I questioned 'Don't "what?" me Y/N. Tell me how you did it. How did you beat her?'
