Chapter 3

{Your POV}
Friday had finally come. Later this afternoon is when Yumeko and I agreed to have gamble. I'm really excited!

{Third Person POV}
You look up from your work to see Mary talking to Yumeko. You get a bit jealous but try to brush it off. "Why am I getting jealous? It's not like Yumeko likes me in that way... I just wish Mary would stop talking to her so much" You think to yourself. You keep glancing up at them, hoping Mary would leave already. Finally, she does so when another girl pulls her aside. It was Itsuki Sumeragi. She was quite popular for how rich she was since her father owned a huge toy company. She often tried to get closer to Mary as she wanted to be even more popular. Itsuki has a weird obsession with collecting nails from those she wins against.

{Later that day} {Still Third Person POV}

School had finished and you were on your way to your dorm. Your gamble with Yumeko was in half an hour. You get to your room and put all your books down on your desk. You go down to the huge gambling hall to find a place to wait. Mary spots you and decides to come over. "Hey" she says. "Oh, hi" "What are you doing here?" she asks. "I'm waiting for Yumeko, we're going to gamble" you reply. "Oh, that's nice. Have fun" she says. "See you", "bye" you say. Not long after, Yumeko walks over to you. "Hey Yumeko!" "Hello, Y/N" she says as she smiles" "are you ready?" she asks. You nod and she takes a seat at the opposite side of the table. "How about a game of double concentration?" you ask. "Sounds great!" Yumeko replies as she smiles again. You take out two new packs of cards and open them. You scatter the decks over the table "What'll we bet for this game? ¥25,000 sound good?" She nods. You both lay your money on your side of the table. "Shall we begin?" she asks. You nod. "I'll let you have the first move" you say. "Why thank you Y/N" She flips two cards and gets a match. "Your turn". You flip two cards and also get a match. You and Yumeko keep taking turns and getting some matches. You both are left with only a few cards and it's Yumeko's turn. She flips a card. Ace of Spades. She looks up at you, thinking she'll win. You watch as she goes to flip what she thought was another Ace of Spades, but turns out to be the Four of Clubs. She's in disbelief. "I could have sworn that was the right card!" she thought to herself. You flip your last two cards, getting a match of the Queen of Hearts. You did it. You beat Yumeko. She was in shock. She had only ever been beaten by the student council president. And now she had lost to a normal student. "Wow... that was amazing Y/N!" she said smiling at you. "The only other person to beat me was the student council president, I'm impressed" she says. "Thank you"
