Loud footsteps echoed across the linoleum walls as Aidan lead the group of tourists down the hall. The people chattered amongst themselves, taking pictures and following the 14-year-old guiding them through the building. "Over here you will see our enviornmental rehabilitation room, where we focus on preserving life in our ecosystem." Aidan called out, smiling to hide the lies. I actually sounded convincing that time, he thought, as the tourists oooohed and aaahed. Aidan didn't mind telling them lies. He was a people pleaser. With his brown shaggy hair, pale skin, and his tall figure, he enjoyed being the center of attention. Aidan led them down the stairs, and back through the main entrance, signaling the end if the tour. "And that is all! Please pass your money to Kat at the front desk, come again soon!" He told them.

Time skip cuz im lazy.

That night At dinner, Aidan's father, the head scientist, typed ferociously on his laptop while his food got cold. "Dad cmon, you have to eat. Mom worked hard on this one." Aidan said. His father replied with a grunt, barely acknowledging his existence. Aidan sighed. His father was always busy, scheduling meetings, and developing cures. Actaully, Aidan wasn't sure what his dad did. He knew it was bad, slightly illegal, but everytime he asked his father ended the conversation at "It's for the better of all humanity.", so he gave up trying. He just wished he woudn't push him and his mother do the side like dusty old books. Aidan finished his dinner and left his father at the table, moping to his room. They lived fairly close to the lab, so close it gave Aidan a good view of the white building. He stared out the window, his dim reflection stared back. Seeing as it was almost 7:00, he completed his chores and went to bed.

It's short, and bad, I know.
