Aiden dropped down from the air vent in ceiling as the metal grate crashed beside him with a clang. Praying no one heard the noise, he took off down the hallway with his sneakers squeaking on the floor. He thought of his aching fist, and how Avana laughed when he attempted to punch the air grate open with his hand back in vault 23. Turning the corner, he crashed into someone sending them both tumbling to the ground. "Aidan? Where have you been man, I've been looking for you everywhere!" Kat said, dusting off her pants. She wore her regular look, with sweatshirt and leggings, and her black headphones around her neck. Her brown straight hair was frizzier than normal, as she leaned down to help him up. Aidan, clearly annoyed, swatted her hand away and stood up, towering over Kat. "What's the matter with you?" she asked. "Oh, well, I don't know, when one abandoned one's friend in an unknown place with no way of getting out, they might get a little pissed." he answered, pushing past her. "Jeez, I'm sorry, okay! That place was freaking me the fuck out." Kat called after him. "Whatever. I'm going home." Aidan replied. He wasn't sure if his dad was going to be home or not, but he had a key, so he walked out the building anyway. He just couldn't get Avana's words out of his head.
