She ran back to her professor and gave him a sarcastic thumbs up. "What else." He gave a small smile, which surprised Quinn. "We're going to test your physical strength."

He briskly walked over to the right side of the gym, where a bunch of weights, mats, bars, and a small dojo for karate and martial arts sat, all neat and put away orderly. "Shoes and socks off- then step onto the mat, we're going to be seeing how well your self-defense is."

Quinn slowly took off her shoes and socks, hesitating before stepping onto the mat. "Why do I need to do this?" He took off his jacket, loafers, and socks. "We're testing how you'd do working for the government or security."

She rolled her eyes in her mind. In no way would she ever work for the government. I don't do good with bad democracies. She walked onto the mat, carefully watching her professor as he started to circle her.

Link and Quinn did these little battles with each other almost daily, using it only if something bad happened, like the government taking us, or security. Plus where they lived, there was quite a bit of robbery.

He charged at her, throwing a front punch, and she cleanly countered, throwing a two jabs to the side and a front kick to the groin. The man's face gritted in pain for a split second, until he grabbed her arm, spinning her to him. A headlock.

She grabbed his arm, pushed it away from her as much as she could to get distance. Quinn quickly elbowed him. She added a hammer fist to his groin, then stepped together and slid her elbow up to his chin, stepping away and landing a roundhouse to the back of his knee, causing him to collapse.

He got up, smiling bigger than she's seen him smile. "That was really good, do you study martial arts?" She nodded. "Yeah, since I was 13." The look on his face surprised her. He was excited. "Yeah, I've studied since I was 10." Wow. That's a damn long time.

"Well, let's head back to the room as I get your results," he quickly walked down the hallway back to the room Quinn was in not too long ago. Her nerves peaked as she saw him clicking and going over her test results, his face hardening.

"What did I get?" Quinn nervously asked him, looking around at anything but the computer he was staring hard at. She gave a small peek at him, and his face washed the anger away to confusion.

"I- I don't know," he said, his voice hinting a bit of surprise.

Her heart rate sped up.
