"Ryder...you're late"
"I'm sorry sir. You see... My motorcycle has broken down and I missed the bus... so I had to walk here in the pouring rain" he said. Even though he was most defiantly dry.
"How come you aren't wet" coach said crossing his arms, clearly not believing his story. Ryder took out a water bottle and walked into the boys locker room he came out soaked.
"As I was saying... I was drenched by the rain so would you find it in your heart, to excuse this one mistake" Ryder said. Everyone began to clap including coach. Confusion was written on my face.
"Great Ryder. Best yet. Now... laps with the rest of the class" coach says
"What was that" I ask Mia
"When ever Ryder came in late he would make some lame excuse to not get detention, even though he still gets it. But it does make coach smile" Mia says pointing to coach. You can see coaches wide grin.
After the laps, we all head outside into the yard. Everyone is now in their own group circle with their friends.
"Excuse me ladies? But could I sit here" Jay says, faking a British behind his Australian one.
"You know, just because I went to London doesn't mean I'm british. It means I've caught the accent. " I say
"I know I know. Just fooling around" Jay says sitting next to me. Mia goes from her seat on my right, to in front of me. She opens my legs and sits in between them laying her back on my stomach. This would always be our thing because we liked playing with each others' hair. I took Mia's straight blond hair in my hands and started to create a braid. When I'm done, I take a pin from my hair a place it in so her braided bun is secure.
"So, how was London" Jay asked.
"It was great. It was easy to make friends over there. I don't have an enemies or anything so that's good" I say. To be honest, I missed London. I missed my aunt and her twins. Delilah and David. They both had green eyes and brown hair. They looked exactly alike. The only way you can tell about was by Delilah's delicate features, where as David had more muscular features for a 11 year old.
"Really? Did you make an, I don't know... Boyfriend?!?" Mia yells
"No actually, I met this really nice guy and he's planning to move to Australia. We still talk" I say
"Ok" Mia says. We hear coach's whistle and we stand up, dust over selves off and walk back inside with the rest of the gym class. Mia, Jay and I go our separate ways and I walk to AP English . When I walk in, I see Ryder in the back by the window. I ignore him and make my way to the teacher.
"Hello Samantha, the other teachers have been telling me that you prefer Ryder now so I will call you that. Would you care to sit next to Mr. Williams" he says. I turn around to see he is pointing over to Ryder. I groan and walk over to the table and sit down. I lean in my chair to make myself comfertable. This really sucks.
