💙Keith POV💙
It was a nice day outside, I decided to go for a walk. As I was walking I didnt really have a certain destination, just wherever I ended up. As I was walking, I recognized the large cracks in the sidewalk and frequent missing pieces of pavement. That's right, I was on Pico's block, my childhood crush. We were best friends, so I haven't told him, and I didn't want to, afraid I would ruin what we had already. Before I knew it I had knocked on his door. I knocked three times and two more fast knocks, which is our secret knock code. He opened the door and grinned at me, holding out his fist for a fist bump. We knocked fists and he pulled me into an embrace, and I didn't want to let go, but I eventually had to.
His house was quite messy, but at this point, I call it home too, since I'm over there more than I'm at my own home. I flopped down on the couch and he did the same. We sat in silence for a hot 7 seconds before I spoke.
"Soo..how was your day..?"
"Fine."
Fine. A simple, yet meaningful reply. He normally shrugs or gives me a "meh.", but he actually gave my something. I couldn't suppress the small smile creeping on my face.
"Whatcha wanna do? Watch a movie? Go to the park?"
"Parks for kids. Aka you. So, movie it is."
"I'll go make popcorn!!"
"And I'll find the movie."
I bounced off the couch and practically skipped to the kitchen, excited for the movie. I wondered what he would pick, probably a horror movie. He always picked horror movies, even when it was broad daylight, like today. I tried to reach the cupboard but couldn't, since i was at least a few inches shorter than Pico.
"I can't reach the popcorn..."
Pico strutted into the kitchen and looked at me, snorted, and walked up behind me. He stood on his tiptoes and opened the cupboard, reaching for the popcorn as his hips pressed against my lower back and I shivered since I could feel his bul-
"You good?"
I snapped back into reality, only to realized I was red as a tomato and breathing heavily.
"Huh?? O-Oh, um fine!! Just..thought of your...height...yeah..."
Pico raised an eyebrow but eventually just shrugged and threw the popcorn bag in the microwave, setting the timer for 2 minutes and pressing go.
