REI'S always loved cats since she was little and had always wanted some so it was no question that she would get them as an adult.
Originally, she was only going to take Steve home because she liked how calm and quiet the kitten was but she saw ZZZ, noticing how friendly and affectionate he was with her. From then on, she just knew that she had to take him home as well so she got the two for her birthday.
Jennie and Jisoo usually make fun of her because she named them such ridiculous names. To be honest, she named them spontaneously on impulse but hasn't regretted it and rather thinks of it as a part of her soul and personality ( somehow Steve Aoki is part of her personality in a way i guess.. ).
To this day, her members, and herself included, still don't know how to pronounce ZZZ's name and it's said in a different way each time. "ZEDZEDZED" ( british version ), "ZEEZEEZEE" ( american version ), "SEUH" ( siri version ), "ZUHZUHZUH" ( rosé version ), "ZZZZZZ" ( machine gun version ).

REIwas still not content. She just needed more cats. She wanted to be that crazy cat lady but a cool version of that crazy cat lady so of course she got another cat.
When she visited Thailand, she and Lisa had went to an adoption centre to check out some cats and she spotted Rei ( the cat ). She was so small and cute that Lisa had persuaded her to take Rei ( the cat ) home, so obviously she did.
She didn't really know what to name the kitten to be honest. She noticed how Lisa had named her cats to be similar to her name since they all began with L so Rei wanted to name her cat something similar to her name too.
Therefore she named the kitten Rei. Very, if not exactly, similar to her name.
Rei always gets so confused if the members are calling her name or not so they all collectively decided to start calling the cat Rei2 instead.
