"Sorry?" Ritisha leaned her head in, trying to see if maybe she heard him wrong. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
"B-but, we only just started talking! Hell, no offense; I never knew you existed until earlier this year!"
"Yes, but my feelings-" "Feelings? What about mine? Just give me a minute." Ritisha faced her back to the boy and sighed.
'He's a Slytherin! You can't be off chasing Slytherins!' Ritisha thought to herself. 'Although, he would be my first boyfriend. Two years older at that...If I don't want to be with him anymore - I guess I can always just...leave? That's how relationships work, right?' She groaned and turned around to look at him.
"Alright, fine."
"Really?!" The worried face on him vanished as he swooped down, cupping her cheeks. "No! No-not yet, sorry." She pushed away from his face and gave him a pat.
"Ermmm... since we're official or whatever, how would we spend time together? I mean first off, you're like two years older than me, and second; you're in another house. It will be hard for us to erm you know...spend time together and such?" Ritisha fumbled, she was very new to this whole dating thing and wanted to be a pro when she dated someone she actually had feelings for.
"Library. We can meet there on our free time, and I can walk you to classes." He gave a slight grin, but his eyes drifted behind her. She didn't take a notice on what he was looking at and just nodded. "Alright. Uhh do I just take your hand?"
"You really are new at this?"
"Y-yeah..."
"You don't have to ask, it makes it weird if you ask." Terence chuckled, then proceeded to take her hand in his. Ritisha didn't feel that spark or giddiness that Noemi explained that she felt when the girl held Ernie's hand. It just felt like she was holding, well- a hand. Ritisha shurgged it off, guessing that it was just because she was nervous.
The pair walked to the horseless together, still hand in hand, and Higgs lead her in. She gave him a slight 'thanks', then they both proceeded to ride up to the school; watching the sun slowly set.
Another carriage pulled up with a bunch of Slytherin fifth years, Terence seemed to notice them and began to speak. "You know, Ritisha. The sunset is very beautiful," Ritisha looked at him and smiled kindly. "but not as beautiful as you." He added loudly. The carriage full of Slytherins went ahead of them, leaving them in the back.
"Wow, that was cheesy!" Laughed Ritisha, clutching her stomach for support. "It was the only thing I could think of in the heat of the moment." He mumbled. "Huh?" "Nothing. Hey! We've arrived!" Sure enough, the carriage pulled around just outside the courtyard.
He walked her past the flowing fountain, past peering students who watched to Slytherin and Gryffindor together, and past the entrance of the school. Terence stopped once they got in front of the Great Hall, he turned to his new girlfriend and stared at her. "Today was lovely, I can't wait to do it more often."
"I...agree." Ritisha half heartedly agreed. It's not like she was lying, the girl liked Terence, but just not in that way. It's too late to back out, and maybe one of these days she will fall for him? Maybe.
Terence took one of her hands, bent down, and placed a kiss on the top of her hand. "I'll see you at breakfast tomorrow, love." He gave her a wink, and turned around. Leaving Ritisha deserted in the hall.
"Well, he's a charmer!" Yelled a familiar voice. "Although I could do so much better."
Ritisha spun on her heel. "Oh- hey, Cormac! Watcha doin' here?" Cormac walked to her and slung an arm around her. "Would it be so bad if I was looking for a snog from you?" Ritisha used her right arm and playfully hit him in the chest. "In your dreams! Like I would snog you!"
