New kid

Monday, 7:30 a.m
I sigh and look up at the school building. I haven't talked to Johnny since last week nor have I talked to Ali. It was going to be awkward seeing them in school.

On Friday, after school I found out Johnny cheated on me with my best friend, Ali. I have never felt such a pain before but I can't let Johnny know he broke me. He wasn't a great boyfriend but I loved him.

I make my way up to the school entrance, kids begin filling up the doors as the bell rings throughout the school. I manage to get through the crowd of people and head over to my locker. As I begin putting in my combination for my locker I notice Ali and Johnny out of the corner of my eye, I peek at them and notice them completely making out with each other. They really have the audacity to this in-front of me.

I brush it off and grab my books hastily. I slam the locker shut and storm away from them in the opposite direction. I run up the stairs and without paying attention I bump into someone, knocking my books everywhere.

"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry." I apologize and kneel down to pick up my books. "Ah don't worry about it." He chuckles and kneels down to help me as well. "I should have been paying attention, I got distracted." I finally grab my last book and stand back up. "It was an accident, not a big deal." He brushes it off and hands me my books, that's when I finally look up at him. He was someone I've never seen before.

"Are you new here?" I squint my eyes and point out. "Oh yeah, I just moved here from New Jersey, Newark." He mentions. "Really? What are you doing here?" I begin walking and he walks along-side me. "My mom recently got this job and it's some type of technology business." He shrugs. "That sounds pretty interesting, I'd liked to hear more about it sometime." I suggest. "Yeah, yeah." He smiles.

"I'm y/n y/l/n by the way." I add. "Daniel LaRusso." He says. "Nice to meet you, LaRusso." I smile. "Yeah you too." He smiles back. "Well I should head to my first class period, we should hangout some day." I suggest. "Yeah I would like that." He agrees. I begin making my way down the hallway, I turn around and give him a small wave. He gives me a small wave back and I continue walking.

8:36 a.m
I head out of chemistry class, of course Johnny had to be in it, along with a few of his friends. I tried my best to ignore them. I start making my way to 2nd period. "Y/n." That voice sounded agonizingly familiar. I continue walking. "Y/n, can we talk?" I hear him call out once more. "I don't want to talk to you, Johnny" I walk a bit faster. "Come on, let me explain." He walks faster as well.

"Leave me alone, Johnny." I turn the corner hoping he would just stop following me. "Come on y/n." He begs. "Take the hint, Lawrence." I yell out. He stops walking and I continue walking without looking behind me.
