It was finally the end of my 10th class period, meaning it was the end of the day. I walk over to my locker and begin putting in the code. I open my locker and a small piece of paper falls out. I look around and pick it up.

The piece of paper had a phone number written on it and on the back it had Daniels signature. I smile to myself as I shove it into my backpack.

At my house..
I open the front door of my house to reveal my grandparents sitting on the couch watching the same old tv show, The Jefferson's.

"I'm home." I shut the door behind me. "How was school." My grandmother sits up. "It was good nana." I flash her a small smile. "Great sweetie, I made you a little snack." She walks me over to the kitchen table and hands me a small plate of cookies and milk. "Thank you nana, your cookies are the best." I hug her. "Thank you, peanut." She hugs me back.

"Do you have any homework?" She walks behind me and takes off my backpack. "Not today, I got it all done in study hall." I shake my head. "Oh how wonderful." She sets my backpack down. "Ill be upstairs nana." I mention. "Okay, sweetheart." She pats my back. I grab the piece of paper out of my backpack and head upstairs.

I walk into my room and close the door behind me. I take out the piece of paper and begin to dial it into my home phone. After a few moments of it ringing someone answers. "Hello?" Daniel answers. "Hey, it's y/n." I mention. "Oh great, you got the piece of paper." He says enthusiastically. "Yeah, if you don't mind me asking how did you find my locker?" I question. "I asked a few people." He reply's and chuckles. "Fair enough." I chuckle back.

"How was your first day of school?" I say as a conversation starter. "It was alright, I joined the soccer team." He says in a jubilant tone. "Oh that's awesome, we'll see eachother a lot then." I say. "Why is that?" He asks. "Well, I'm on the cheerleading team."

"Really? That's awesome, are you any good?" He laughs. "For your information, yes. Are you any good at soccer is the real question." I laugh back "Yeah, I'm pretty good." He mumbles "Prove it." I roll my eyes "I will, tonight at 6." He says. "Mhm and where exactly?" I lay against my bed frame. "At the beach, there's a party going on there and I think you should come." He suggest. "Alright, We'll see." I tease."Okay okay I'll take that but have to go, I'm going to get ready for the party. I hope to see you there." He says. "Okay, I'll be there. Bye." "Bye." He hangs up.

I walk out of my room and run down stairs. "Papa, nana, can I go to a beach party at 6?" I put my hands together and beg. "Hm, isn't that a little late?" Papa mentions? "Yes, but it's not that late." I plead. "Alright well it's a yes from me." My grandpa says. "Sure sweetie, have some fun with your friends." My nana says. "Thank you." I quickly plant a kiss on both of their cheeks and I run back upstairs.

I begin looking through my drawers until I finally find a white one-piece swim suit. I hastily begin putting on the swimsuit. After I manage to put on the swim suit I put on my clothes.

"Bye Honey, I'll pick you up soon!" My grandparents wave to me as I shut the car door. I nod my head and wave back so that they knew I was listening.

I hold my towel in one hand and an oversized t-shirt just in case. I make my way towards Daniel and all his friends were, they were sitting near a fire place eating some hotdogs.

"I think she's looking at you, man." Freddy mentions as he looks behind Daniel. Daniel doesn't move. "That cute blonde chick? You're outta your mind." Daniel teases. "I'm serious." Freddy laughs. Daniel looks behind him and notices the girl- Ali Mills.

"She's cute huh?" Daniel stands up. "Yeah, you better go over there and talk to her." Freddy adds. "I couldn't do that." Daniel shakes his head. After him and Ali make eye contact he notices out of the corner of his eye, a girl walking towards him.
