Falling In Love Young

Chapter 2

     "I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention. I..." I said as he interrupted me.

     "No, no, no, it's okay. I probably shouldn't have yelled at you. I've had a rough day and I'm sorry." I smiled because he had this cute look on his face. A worker came over to clean up my mess and reassured me that it was okay and happens more often than I'd think. "Well, it was nice to meet you. Sorry about yelling haha." He said to me while smiling.

     "It's okay, it was my fault haha. I'm a klutz." I said and we started to awkwardly walk in the same direction. We both reached for the lettuce and his hand laid on top of mine and he didn't move it immediately. He looked at me and laughed, with the cutest giggle I've ever heard.

    "Not you again. Here." He said as he handed me the lettuce.

    "Thanks," I said as I giggled. 

    "Do you have a snap chat or something? If I'm being honest, you're really pretty and I would love to take you out some time." He asked me and I nodded yes and handed him my phone so he could type his username in. He handed me my phone back and I smiled and walked to check out. After paying for the lettuce, I walked out the door with the biggest smile on my face. As soon as I got into the car I screamed a happy scream and turned my music really loud. I drove straight home and didn't lose the smile the entire way home. 

     Once I got home and gave my mom the lettuce then ran straight upstairs to call my best friend. I facetimed Matthew to tell him everything that happened.

   "Hey baby" Matthew said after answering the phone. I hate when he calls me that!

   "Matthew, you will never guess what happened today!" I told Matthew about the whole trip to the grocery store and everything that happened. "I'm going to have a little back to school party with a few of our friends, do you wanna come?"

    "Woah, woah, woah, you didn't give me enough time to process all of that? So do you think that he actually liked you? Like you said he was an older looking man, do you think he knows how old you are? Also I would love come over. This weekend?" Matthew said.

    "I'm not sure if he likes me or not, but he's very cute and has the most contagious smile. I mean, I've been told that I look kind of old for my age so maybe he didn't even notice. Also yes, this weekend!" I responded. Right after talking, I got a notification from snapchat telling me that I was added back. "OH MY GOD! Matthew, he added me back on snapchat! This is really happening!!" I said in the most eager tone. 

   "Oh my god yay! I'm so excited for you! You do deserve this honestly, maybe you'll have a reason to get out of bed." Matthew said as he started to laugh.

   "Haha really funny," I said in a sarcastic tone.

   "No, I'm being serious, I'm worried for you. You're losing your sparkle." He said.

   "I know, my mom told me the same thing earlier today. I'm working on it, that's why I decided to have a party." I said really proud of myself. "Anyways, should I text him or wait until he texts me first?"

  "I would wait, so he doesn't think you're too eager. I mean you are but umm let's not let him know that haha." He said and we both laughed.

  "Yea you're right. But hey I'm gonna call some other people to see if they'd be down with coming. I'll text you though and let you know what time I'll have everyone over." I said and we both said bye and I got to calling all my friends. I started with Justice who said she might be able to depending on if she had to babysit. I then called Taylor, Jaden, Benny, Chan, Kasey (who no one really likes), Rodney, and a bunch of other people who said they were down. I was really excited, there was only one problem I hadn't asked my mom yet. Maybe if I wait until the day before the party she's more likely to say yes.

   "Trinity! Dinner's ready." My mom yelled from downstairs. I jumped up because I was in a good mood and ran downstairs to eat. Everyone was already at the dinner table when I walked into the kitchen. "So, now that we are sitting here together, I have to tell you guys something." I was concerned and scared, last time we all sat down together, my mom and dad were telling us they were splitting up. What if we lost the house? Or if she has cancer?
