So this is right after the big kiss in the common room. I don't own Harry Potter. Enjoy!
Chapter 1
The creature in his chest roaring in triumph, Harry looked down at Ginny and gestured wordlessly out of the potrait hole. A long walk in the grounds seemed indicated, during which, if they had time, they might discuss the match.
"Wanna go for a walk?" Harry asked Ginny, as the potrait closed behind them.
"Sure." She replied. As they walked away, Harry heard the Fat Lady say, 'So much like Lily and James.' He smiled at the mention of his parents. They quietly walked out of the castle in comfortable silence.
"So . . ." Ginny started, "when and how did this happen?"
"Well . . ." Harry said scratching the back of his neck with his left hand, as he was holding Ginny's hand with his right. "When; a few months ago I guess, I don't exactly know how I mean I didn't wake up and say I like Ginny Weasley."
Ginny chuckled. "A few months Eh? And how long is a few months exactly?"
"To be honest, since the day I saw you snogging Dean in the tapestry, when Ron and I walked in on you." He said, blushing.
Ginny blushed as well. "Well I didn't exactly plan on it you know. Dean and I just starting kissing when you and Ron walked in."
They looked at eachother for a bit.
"So . . ." Ginny started. "What are we now?" She asked.
"Whatever you want to be." Harry smiled.
"Well then I'd prefer us to be a couple." Ginny smiled back at him. She wrapped her arms around Harry's neck and pulled his head down to her and kissed him.
They broke apart and smiled at eachother.
"I think I'm going to be having my way in this relationship." Ginny said.
Harry laughed and lead them both to a tree near by. He sat down, Ginny sat next to him with her head on his shoulder as Harry wrapped his arm around her waist. Ginny closed her eyes as Harry kissed her forehead and leaned his head against hers.
"So, how was the game?" Harry asked.
"It was good." Ginny murmured, her eyes still closed.
"Just good?" Harry lifted his head up to look at her. "You just beat my ex. I thought you'd be over the moon."
"Well I would've been if you hadn't kissed me" she muttered, Harry smiled. "But I am really happy. The game was going really good everyone was playing really well, Ravenclaw didn't stand a chance." She said grinning enthusiastically.
"I saw the snitch right next to Cho but she was too busy looking at their keeper, who couldn't save Demelza's throw." She continued. "She saw me zooming towards her and just as she saw the snitch I caught it. I caught the snitch right under Cho Chang's nose." Ginny finished, proudly, with a smirk on her face.
Harry smiled at her and kissed her again. She opened her mouth and moaned, softly as he slipped his tongue in. She tastes like strawberry, Harry thought. He pulled his tongue out as she slipped hers into his mouth. He moaned just as softly as Ginny had.
They finally broke apart panting.
"No one has ever kissed me like that." Ginny said, still breathless. "Has anyone ever told you that you're an amazing kisser?"
"Well if you think so then I'll take it." Harry said, as she pulled him back into a kiss.
Harry kissed her forehead again as they broke apart. Their heads touched, eyes shut and smiles on both their faces.
"You taste like chocolate," Ginny commented, "did you know that? I'll bet you anything it's from all those sweets you and Ron eat all the time."
Harry laughed and said, "You taste like strawberry."
"That might be because I was eating strawberries after the game." She said and they both laughed.
"Why me?" Ginny blurted out.
"Huh?"
"Well you didn't seem to notice I existed until this year and now we're a couple." Said Ginny nervously. "So why now?"
Harry looked at her for a bit then said, "I always knew you were there Ginny." He said calmly. "When we first met, you were so shy around me and could barely speak when I was in the room."
"Well that's because I had a crush. Not on you, on 'The Boy Who Lived'." Said Ginny
"I know you did. That's why it was hard talking to you with you blushing all the time, not that I don't like it when you blush, I love it in fact you look really cute when you blush you know." Harry said, smiling at her dreamily.
Ginny snapped him out of it. "You're going off topic Harry." She said.
"Right. So yeah. In my third year everyone, including me, thought that Sirius wanted to kill me. And you know fourth year, I got put in the Triwizard Torment. And lots happened in last year." Harry said sadly.
"Voldemort was back, we had Umbridge breathing down our necks." He continued. "Then we started the DA in which I saw how brilliant of a witch you are. You're good at spells, jinxes and hexes. Oh and your infamous bat-bogey hex. And it was that year, I found out that you play quidditch."
"Sometimes I think it was good that I was banned or how else would I have known that you know how to fly so well."
"Well I would've tried out this year." said Ginny.
"True, but that would've been chaser and I'm talking about your seeking abilities." Harry said. "But other than that, I was-" but before he could finish, Ginny cut in.
"-still hung up on Cho." She finished.
"Yes."
"Well you got there in the end." Said Ginny after a long pregnant pause.
"I did, didn't I?" Said Harry, shrugging.
"C'mere." She said pulling him in for another kiss.
They stayed there, cuddling for a few minutes until Harry spoke up.
"It's nearly curfew." He said. "We should head back to the castle."
"Yeah."
And with that they both headed back to the castle, hand in hand.
