Batchim/바침 – It's a consonant placed at the bottom and pronounced at the end in a Korean syllable block. Sila yung nasa baba ng words.
Example:
1. Batchim ㄹ
; 살, 발, 갈, 달 , 솔, 벌,
2. Batchim ㅂ
; 삽, 맙, 겁, 갑, 찹, 합
REMINDER: Most Korean verbs have the same root, regardless of who you are talking to, but you will change the ending of the verb depending on who you are speaking with. 먹다 is the dictionary form of the verb "to eat." The dictionary form consists of the verb root or verb stem, 먹 in this example, and the 다 ending.
Dictionary form — is a term used more often with Japanese, but in Korean it can also be used to mean the form you'd, well, find in a dictionary (있다, 하다, 슬프다, etc). It's spoken when you're talking to yourself, but not to other people by itself (though it is used in other grammatical constructions).
Examples.
; 가다, 잘하다, 말하다.
Verb stem — Refers to the original form of verb. Just remove the 다 in every Verb's Dictionary form. Just like from the example above.
Examples.
; 가, 잘하, 말하.
