My Dad Is My Sensei?

Chapter 1

I'm laying in my bed, staring at the ceiling. I injured my left arm during my recent mission and my mom and friends forbade me from any training until I fully healed. "Hey Y/N? Can I come in?" I hear my friend, Temari say. Sorry. I guess I forgot to mention a few things. My name is Y/N. I live in the Hidden Sand Village, and I'm best friends with Temari, Gaara, and Kakuro's sister, though I am pretty sure Kankuro, her brother, doesn't like me. I am one year younger than Gaara, and I've been training to be a ninja since I could walk. I'm one of the most powerful ninjas in the village.

I only have a mom, I have a twin brother, but we don't know where he is, and my dad was never in the picture. I was told he left before I was born. I sigh and sit up in bed. "Yeah you can come in," I say, and she enters my room. She comes over and sits on the edge of my bed, and I just sigh. "Hey Y/N you need to pack your stuff you're going somewhere," she says, and I look at her in disbelief. "What? Where am I going?" I ask, and she sighs. "You're going home. Now pack your things. Your escorts will be here soon" she says, and I sigh and get up.

She grabs my suitcase for me, and I start picking out the clothes I want to take with me. I take a couple of dark blue crop tops, a couple of dark blue shorts, clothes for the wintertime, and put them in my suitcase. I put on my headband, and go downstairs, and Temari comes down with my suitcase. "Morning mom," I say and smile, and she turns around from doing the dishes. "Good morning sweetheart," she says, and she sees Temari, and her face drops. I look at her then Temari. "Is there something that I'm missing here?" I ask, and they're both silent. "Okay then," I say, and grab an apple.

I take a bite and look at the clock on the wall. "I should get going. I might be late" I say, and she nods. I walk out of my house, and Temari follows behind me. She taps me on the shoulder, and I look at her. "What's up?" I ask, and she points at my headband. "Since you're going home to a different village, you'll need the right headband. Luckily, your escorts are bringing one with them. You will need to see the Hokage after you arrive, okay?" she says, and I nod. She unties the headband from around my neck and we start walking toward the gate. On the way there, we see Kankuro and Gaara.

'Great. Kankuro is here. I'm gonna have to talk to him before I leave' I think to myself and then I roll my eyes. "Come on Y/N. You know you're going to miss him" I hear Temari say, and then I sigh. "Hey, Temari. Hey Y/N" Kankuro says, and I sigh. 'Just this one last time. Then I probably won't ever have to talk to him ever again' I think to myself. "H-Hey Y/N" Gaara says, and I smile and blush a little. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Temari smirk, and I look away. Kankuro hugs me, and I just stand there. 'I sure am not gonna miss this' I think to myself as Kankuro continues to hug me.

I must've looked like I was going to suffocate because Gaara says, "Kankuro you're going to suffocate her," and he lets go. Gaara then hugs me, being careful of my arm and trying not to hug me too hard, and I hug him back. He starts gently playing with my hair, and it makes me smile. He lets go and we say our goodbyes and head towards the gate. As we're walking to the gate, Temari nudges me in the arm. I look at her and see the big smirk she has on her face. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask and take a bite of my apple. "You have a crush on Gaara, don't you?" she says and I start choking on my apple.

When I'm done choking and properly swallow the apple, I look at her and see that she's trying hard not to laugh. "What's so funny?" I ask and she giggles. "You have a crush on Gaara," she says, and I feel my face turn red and I look away. I hear her start to laugh and I feel my face getting even redder. I take another bite of my apple and start spacing out. "So how is your swordsmanship going?" I hear her ask, and I just sigh. "It's going" I respond and take another bite of my apple. I throw the core in a nearby trash bin when I'm done with it.

We arrive at the gate, and I see one of them with long white hair and very ugly shoes, another with a bowl cut and what looks like a green jumpsuit, some leg warmers and his headband around his waist, and one of them with blonde hair, and I hear him complaining that he wants ramen. I see the man with white hair look at me, he looks at me up and down, and his eyes turn into hearts and he starts drooling. "H-Hey I'm Jiraiya. Would you like to help me with my research later?" he asks, and the one with the blond hair smacks him. "Be nice Pervy Sage. You're going to scare her" he says, and it makes me giggle. He sticks out his hand, and I shake it. "My name is Naruto Uzumaki, and I'm going to be Hokage one day, believe it!" he says. "I'm Y/N," I respond and the one with a bowl cut steps forward. "My name is Lee, beautiful woman," he says, and kisses my hand, and I giggle.

"Well, you should get going. I hear there's going to be a rainstorm soon. You wouldn't want to be caught up in it" Temari says, and we all nod. I hug her one last time, and before we pull away, she says, "Gaara will be waiting for when you come to visit" and my face turns red. We pull away, and I see someone running toward us. 'Oh, It's Gaara. I wonder why he's running toward us' Temari moves out of his way, and he runs up to me and kisses me. I hesitate at first, but then I kiss him back. We pull away and hug each other one last time and say our good-byes, and I grab my bag and we start walking toward the Hidden Leaf. "So how did you break your arm?" Naruto asks. "I fell in a hole on my way home from a mission and I had to wait for a rescue team to be sent out to get home because I couldn't climb out," I say, and look at my arm. He looks at me and mumbles, "I wish I went on cool missions like that" and it makes me softly giggle.

A couple of hours later, we arrive in a small town a few miles before the sand starts. We find a restaurant and the others go in, but I'm not that hungry, so I just decide to walk around until they're done eating. I'm just walking around, looking at all the bright lights, when someone pulls me into an alleyway and pins me against the wall, and puts their hand over my mouth. "You will not make a sound. You will only listen. Nod if you understand" he says, and I nod. "You are being watched. I'm going to help you. Go sit at the restaurant with your friends. I'll make sure you are safe until you get to your hotel room, understand?" he says, and I nod. He lets go of me and takes his hand off my mouth and I let out a deep breath I didn't know I was holding in. I leave the alley and start walking back to the restaurant, and start window shopping until I get back. I don't really see anything I like, so I just walk normally.

I get back to the restaurant and see the three of them sitting in a booth to the right of the door, so I go over and sit with them. I must've zoned out while thinking about the guy from earlier because I feel Naruto shaking me, and I look at him and yawn. "We're gonna find a hotel for the night and continue tomorrow," he says, and I nod and get up. We pay, and then we leave and look for a hotel. On the way to the nearest hotel, I see the guy from earlier, but now I can see him better. He's wearing round rimless glasses and a large dark grey turtleneck that's just a few sizes too big for him with the sleeves cropped and cropped dark grey pants, long black fingerless gloves, a long cream scarf tied around his waist, a white t-shirt, dark blue open-toed shoes, a headband with a music note on it, and he had long grey hair tied back in a ponytail. He's talking to someone, but I can't see the person's face because it's covered by a cloth. I just ignore them and keep walking.

When we get to the hotel, we get two rooms. Me and Naruto in one room, Jiraiya and Lee in the other. I bring my bag into the bathroom and take a shower and change into a tank top and shorts and lay down. I hear Naruto go into the bathroom and hear the shower turn on, and a few moments later, he comes out and lays down. We lay there in silence, and I hear him start to lightly snore, and I smile. I can't sleep thinking about the guy from earlier. Soon, I start falling asleep. "Goodnight Y/N" I hear someone say, and I fall asleep.
