I know I said I would only be updating once every weekend but I just got too exc. Besides this way I could procrastinate my history homework even further.

Laurent was still staring at me, frustrated with his loss. When he let out a deep sigh and finally gave up he changed the subject. I took the chance while the win was still mine.

"How were your classes."

"Meh." I started uninterestingly, but I am a ranter and he knew it. "My social studies teacher wouldn't stop repeating the instructions while we were working. She assigned us like 100 billion hours of homework too." By now I had turned to see his full attention on me. "And in math there was this know-it-all smart-ass Junior that wouldn't stop interrupting me during my explanations. But everytime he interupted it was with the wrong answer so I'd have to restart," He didn't like when I swore similarly to when I rolled my eyes at him. So when he made no comment I realized it was because he was planning the slow impending death of the poor upperclassmen know-it-all now. Woops. "But I just ignored him. He was lucky that he was already packed when the bell rang because I was ready to chase him out." He smiled at this part and that made me smile. "In Student Government..." I continued to babble along one class at a time. He just kept smiling at me.

By the time I had finished it was time to go inside but he hadn't stopped smiling yet. He was just staring and smiling. As much as I love his smile it was uncharacteristic of him to be doing so for this long.

"What" I slightly inquired.

He just raised his eyebrows, still smiling though.

"Ret, what are you smiling about?" I persisted.

But he still wouldn't give me an answer. So I asked again.

"What? Ret! Is there something on my face? Shit!" Despite the cuss word slipping out he just rolled his eyes and shook his head. And he was still smiling.

I went for the compact mirror on the visor anyways. But before my hand could touch the leather he stopped me.

"There is nothing on your face."

"Then what are you smiling at?" For some reason a smile had split across my face too now.

Once again he didn't respond.

When rationality fails, rely on being annoying.

So I began to become annoying. I poked his cheek with my finger. "Lau..." I drew out the name his teachers use because I knew he didn't like me using it; something about me not being annoying like a teacher.

When he made no move I poked him again. Still nothing. I went to poke him a third time as my mouth opened slightly to ask again. But before my finger made contact and before a single sound came out of my agape mouth he grabbed my wrist and pulled me in for a silencing kiss.

Damn, he is way too good at getting me to shut up. Not like I'm ever gonna complain about that though. I thought to myself.

He pulled away slightly and looked me in the eyes.

"I just really wanted to kiss you."

I was about to pull him back to my lips with my free hand when a sharp knock came from behind me. Regretfully I looked behind me to see my best friend, Emie, smirking at my undoubtedly flustered and annoyed expression. She motions to her watch indicating that I really should be going. But right now I couldn't care less about swimming. Anything else...anyone else, I'd be scurrying to gather my crap and get my butt inside. He was just so addicting though. However, if I didn't hurry I'd have to do an extra 200 yards for warm up and I was so not in the mood for that. So, as sluggishly as possible, I grabbed my bag again. I gave him a quick peck on the cheek despite the fact that he was coming inside too.

I knew he hated 'quick peck' but he was gonna have to suffer for now. But he must've been really unhappy with this one because his next actions actually took me by surprise.

With his hand back in its rightful place around my neck he yanked me back to him for another long and dominating kiss. Sometime during the kiss Emie must've walked away because when we both finally finished and moved to get out she wasn't there anymore. As we made our way inside he slipped his hand into mine. Walking us to my unassigned spot on the bleachers I began to strip down to my swimsuit while he got himself set with his book.

When I finished getting ready I glanced up to him to see him already engrossed in his book. With a smile I began to head to the other end with everyone else. On my way over I made sure to add a bit more swing to my hips than usual. I knew he always watched when I walked away no matter where we were so I always made sure to put on a show. Just before I got to the first block I turned my head around to see a scowl on his face which only grew when he saw my smirk. I turned back around and continued to my lane. I began to put my hair up and cap and goggles on when my coach walked over.

"You're late today. What happened? I saw you in the parking lot." Shit...think brain.

"Yeah...sorry. I lost track of time." I slipped my goggles on and adjusted them. My coach gave me a skeptical look as I flipped my cap right-side-out.

"You lost 5 minutes? How did you do that." My eyes widened slightly at this. I gave my watch a quick glance. Sure enough I was 5 minutes late.

Did we really make out for 5 minutes? Holy shit. "Yeah I got really distracted with something on my phone." It's only a half lie. I mean I did get distracted. I quickly threw my cap on and set my swim setting on my watch before my coach could attempt to interrogate me any further.

I was about to get in when I spotted Emie on the verge of wheezing silently in the water below me. I slyly flipped her off and readjusted my cap to get in. Before I plunged myself into the freezing water I looked to the other side of the pool to see Laurent with a disapproving look taking over his features.

Shit... that's gonna so bite me in the ass. With that I jumped into the freezing water and began to attempt to not drown.
