"So?" Bucky
"Your baby is perfectly healthy. He's the right weight and size and he's breathing fine. Now all we need to do is wait until he's hungry to find out if he's eating properly and will take to your breast." Bruce
"Take to it?" Bucky
"Some babies don't take to it, meaning they don't suck it. Which is why I said to get a small pot of milk incase he doesn't take it." Olivia
Bruce hands Olivia the baby.
"I'm gonna get in contact with the hospital and let them know what's happened." Bruce
Bruce walks into the adjacent room.
"I'll go let everyone know that he's born and healthy." Tony
"Thanks, dad." Olivia
Tony walks out.
"You wanna hold him?" Olivia
Bucky nods and Olivia hands him the baby.
"God, he's so small." Bucky
"I pushed him out of me, he's not fucking small." Olivia
Bucky chuckles.
"He's gorgeous, doll." Bucky
"He is." Olivia
"Why don't you try and get some sleep?" Bucky
"I won't be able to sleep. Not until he feeds anyway." Olivia
"I can wake you up?" Bucky
Olivia shakes her head.
"No, I'll be okay." Olivia
Bucky nods and kisses her head. She then moves over and pats the spot next to her.
"Doll, I don't think that's a good idea." Bucky
"Please?" Olivia
"Fine." Bucky
Bucky sits next to her and they both just stare at their baby.
"I can't believe we made him." Olivia
"Believe it, doll. He's a mini us." Bucky
Olivia chuckles.
"Is it weird how even though he was just born I'd already lay my life down for him." Olivia
"No, I feel the exact same." Bucky
Olivia just stares at him and Bucky looks at her.
"You want him back, don't you?" Bucky
"Maybe." Olivia
Bucky chuckles and passes her the baby.
1 hour later
The baby cries.
"I think he's hungry." Bucky
Olivia nods and Bruce walks in.
"I heard him cry." Bruce
"I'm gonna try and feed him." Olivia
Bruce nods and turns around. Olivia takes her right boob out and tries to get him to latch, once he's successfully latched she takes a sharp breath in.
"Okay, it hurts but he's latched." Olivia
Bruce turns around.
"Alright. I'll go write that down and don't worry if he doesn't eat for a few hours after this, newborns don't tend to eat much the first day or two." Bruce
