"They picked on me again today, Finn."
"I saw them."
"Why didn't you protect me?"
"I don't know why I didn't protect you."
"It's okay. You're popular."
"I like you, Rach. I wanna make a deal with you."
"What's that deal?"
"If we're not married by the time we're 25, we'll marry each other. Deal?"
"Deal."
Present Day 2012...
Rachel Berry was 10 when she made that deal with her best friend, Finn Hudson.
She's now 24. There's 5 months untill she can have Finn but that's not going to happen.
Finn's engaged to a girl named Quinn Fabray. He's getting married in 5 months. He's in Lima too though while she's in New York.
She can't win him over since he's 'in love' with Quinn while she's in love with Finn.
Finn thinks she's in love with Broadway and New York City since they haven't spoken in a year. Finn's brother, Kurt was the one who told Rachel about the engagement and she cried for days. She was always wishing that Finn wouldn't fall in love with someone and that he'd marry Rachel. That's not going to happen now.
She has to go back to Lima now and prove to him that she loves him and to help him rediscover his feelings for Rachel. She needs to go home.
