Chapter 5: Parents Evening

Time skip to one year later~~

Armin's POV
I've known Eren now for a year. Wow. Even I can't believe it. This past year has honestly been one of the best, no, actually it has been the best year of my life so far and I've never felt as happy as I do now. Ever since that night in the park,me and Eren have just been glued together, it was almost like a spark flew that night that and lit our way into an amazing and close friendship.

Mhm.
Yeah.
Friendship...

That night was the night I also, properly, realised I liked Eren,in more than a friend kinda way. I mean,before that I always thought of him as a great person that made me laugh and comfortable, I always knew I trusted him even from the first day we met in the nurses office. Plus, I found him really attractive. Which at first I thought was just me admiring his perfect features, but when I saw his eyes, his beautiful green eyes looking at the moon that night, it was like I was just completely captivated by his face. His eyes, his nose, his lips-

"Armin I've called you five times!! Get downstairs and lock the door,we're running VERY late!!"
"OKAY I'm coming gramps!!"
I close my diary and put it back under my mattress, I mean know one would think to look under a mattress am I right?
I rush downstairs whilst quickly fixing my hair and head out the door as fast as I can,making sure to lock the front door behind me. I literally burst the car door open and jump into the front passenger seat of our car, my grandpa then literally drives at full speed down the driveway and onto the main road past our house whilst I try to put my seatbelt on, because safety first!

"Armin if we're late to this then I'm not gonna let you hang out with Eren this Friday alright! You KNOW how important this evening is!!"
"Alright alright I'm sorry!! I was busy d-doing something,sorry.." I look down and start twiddling with my thumbs,knowing that I'm in the wrong.
Gramps then looks over at me and back at the road in front of him ,and sighs, he turns to me again and smiles at me lovingly and ruffles my hair until it looks like a birds nest.
"It's alright kiddo. I didn't mean to sound annoyed. It's just you know how important parents evening is at you're school and I don't want you're teachers to be waiting any longer then they should be"
"I know grandpa, next time I'll try not to be late." I say with a soft smile spread across my face.
Grandpa then starts chuckling and winks at me, and both of us sit in a comfortable silence until we reach the school car park.

Grandpa then parks and locks the car and we both speed-walk over to the schools front entrance and sign off our names on the register list.
The whole evening then consisted of the same countless comments from pretty much all my teachers, which, THANKFULLY,are all positive, and me getting embarrassed when my Gramps kept on saying what an "Exceptional young boy he is!",which obviously made me feel GREAT when I left the room and saw Jean and Reiner sniggering at me and whispering "teachers pet" to each other in a mocking tone. Yeah, it hurt, but I'm trying to get better at not letting what people say get to me as much.

"I'm gonna go to the bathroom Armin,wait in the car park okay?" Grandpa whispers to me whilst holding onto my shoulder,making it clear he heard the comments both of them were making. I nod and glance a quick smile at him. I then speed walk my way out of the front entrance and go into the car park,I then lean up against my Grandpas car and take out my phone, then open Facebook and scroll through my feed,trying to make the time go by quicker.

Then, I heard the front doors of the school burst open. And all I can hear is
"THIS IS RIDICULOUS EREN!! Four Fs and only ONE C? What the hell are you doing during class, and how on earth am I only finding out NOW that you haven't done any of your homework?!"

I shot my head around to see Grisha Yeager,Eren's father, shouting at him by the buildings front entrance, his face literally red with anger. Eren's told me that his father can't control his temper.Now I definitely know what he means.
