I wake up to Bagel licking my face and look over to see Bagel wagging his tail in Chases face. I sit up causing Bagel to move off me and onto Chase. Chase then sits up and looks at the time.
"Do you know what today is?" Chase asks me.
"No what's today?" I ask
"It's the twins birthday." He says with a smile. "This is the first time I've had them on their birthday."
"Well then we have to make it special."
"What should we do?"
"How about we take them out for a little and while we're doing that you can ask your brothers to set up a little party for them."
"That's a good idea. Can you go make breakfast while I call them?" He asks
"Of course." I say kissing his cheek and walking out of the room.
I look in the cabinets and see that there was no pancake mix so instead I make them from scratch. I grab all the ingredients and combine them into a big bowl mixing it all up. I put them on plates and opened the kitchen drawer looking for the candles. I found them and put a few on Trey and Alexa's pancakes. I put them on the counter and walk back into the room as Chase hangs up on the phone.
"The pancakes are done." I tell him.
"Ok Jack said that they will call when they are ready for the kids." He tell me
"Let's go wake them up." I say and grab his hand going back into the kitchen. I hand him a plate and we walk into the living room.
"Trey Alexa." Chase says, shaking them a little and they open their eyes.
"Morning daddy what's that?" Alexa asks
"These are your birthday pancakes." Chase says
"Happy birthday you guys." I say and we hand them their plate.
"Make a wish and blow out the candles." Chase says and they close their eyes and then blow them out.
"Haven't you guys ever had a birthday cake?" I ask them.
"No mom only told us happy birthday. We didn't get parties like our friends." Trey tells us
"Well today we are going to have the best day ever." I tell him and we start to eat. After eating we grab a few things and get in the car not knowing where we're going. Driving around for a little we see an arcade and take the kids inside. We play games for an hour till Chase gets a call.
"Where's daddy going?" Alexa asks
"He's just on the phone he'll be right back." I tell her.
"We have a surprise for you two." Chase says walking back over.
"What is it?" Trey asks
"Well we have to go to Uncle Jacks first." He says picking up Trey and I pick up Alexa.
"It's ready?" I ask as we walk to the car.
"Yep Jack said Anti even helped."
"Does that happen often?"
"No but since it's for these two then he will. He has a soft side just not for everyone." Chase says and we put the kids in the car. We get in and Chase starts diving. We get to Jacks and walk up to the door ringing the doorbell.
"Happy birthday!" Everybody says as they open the door. We walk in and the kids start looking at the decoration and especially the table with presents and cake.
"Where's Uncle Sneep?" Alexa asks.
"He had to work but he got you a birthday present." Jack tells her.
"So should we open presents or eat cake first." I ask them
"Cake!" They yell and sit at the table. We cut up the cake and all take a piece. I picked up a little piece while Chase was talking to Jack and walked over with it behind my back.
"Hey Chase."I say
"Yea?" He asks, turning around and I put the cake in his face.
"Oh really." He says and picks up some of his cake from his plate. I ran and got away before he could get to me. But he caught up grabbing me by the waist and shoved some cake in my face laughing.
"Ok you two save it for the wedding, it's time for presents." Jack says and we started to blush. We wiped the cake off our faces and went to the table where everyone else was.
"Here guys this is from me." Marvin says handing them both boxes. They tear the wrapping off and open the box to see that they got a wand, cape, and hat.
"Thank you Uncle Marvin." They say and continue to open more. Jackie got them superhero suits, Jack got them new games, JJ got them both little monocles, and Sneep got them doctor outfits.
"Here kids." Anti says and hands them boxes. They opened them up and they were little pocket knives. Trey got a blue and black on while Alexa got a pick and black one.
"Anti they cant have knife their just kids." Chase says
"Don't worry they don't have blades on them. I don't want my niece and nephew getting hurt." Anti says
"Ok then that's fine." He says and we start to play games. We stayed for a few hours until we noticed that the kids fell asleep. Chase unlocks the car and picks Alexa up off JJ lap while I went and got Trey off Antis lap. We drove home and laid them in the bed for tonight while we slept on the couch. We sat on the couch and Chase turn on a random channel.
"Thank you Chase." I say and look up at him.
"For what?" He asks and looks at me.
"For saving me. From Dick from jumping for everything."
"Well then I should thank you to."
"What for?"
"Before you came into my life I wasn't very happy. I never get to see my kids and my wife left me and I didn't even know why. I didn't want to be here anymore. And when I lost the kids that day I was thankful when I saw them walking over to me with a beautiful girl." He says smiling.
"I love you." I say with a smile.
"I love you too." He says and leans down to kiss me. We pull apart and look back at the tv.
"We interrupt this program for an important message." A news lady says, "There has been a breakout at the jail." I am now sitting at the edge of the couch eyes wide.
"Richard Galway escaped a few hours ago." She says "Be on the look out for this man and call the police if you see him." A picture of Dick comes up on the screen. I was now sitting on the couch crying.
"He's coming for me." I say in a whisper.
"It's ok y/n I won't let him get you." Chase says and pulls me into a hug.
"But we can't stay here. He knows that we live here and the kids are here now."
"It's ok we'll figure it out."
