I walked over to the desk and placed a small kiss on his cheek, which snapped him out of the dream and looked at me with big, dilated eyes. "Goodnight, Oncie." I smiled at a blushing Oncie and headed back to bed. Before I could leave he reached out and grabbed my arm, stopping me from going. I turned around to look at him, and he gently laced his fingers with mine.

"I just wanted to thank you, y/n. For supporting me through everything. You helped me make my dream come true, and for that I owe you everything." he reached into his pocket and pulled out a necklace. It was a beautiful gold necklace with a ruby red gemstone attached to it. He held it up and I turned around, allowing him to hang it around my neck. I felt his fingers brush my skin and I got goosebumps all over. I turned back around and he smiled looking at it, looking at me.

"You didn't have to-"

"I wanted to. I want it to be my promise to you, that I'll always be here for you. I'm hoping that you'd maybe want to- like... stay with me? That we would be together through what comes next.. and maybe even what comes after that ahah.. I'd really, really like that at least." he chuckled and awaited an answer. I could feel his hands get clammy, and with my amazing detective skills I figured it was because he was afraid I'd reject him.

I reached out one of my hands and placed it on his cheek while smiling at him. His eyes widened before he leaned his head into my hand and placed one of his own ontop of mine.

"I'd want nothing more." I replied simply and looked at him, admiring how beautiful he looked in the moonlight that shone through the window of the tent. I began moving my head forward and so did he. We closed our eyes slowly and got closer and closer together; now feeling his warm breath on my skin. We were about to lock lips when the door swung open and made a loud banging sound, snapping us both out of it and looking towards the noise. On the floor we saw Lorax and some Bar-Ba-Loots scattered on the floor, as if they had just fallen. Were they peaking at us? They totally ruined the moment!

"What are you doing here? Don't you guys have anything better to do?" Oncie sighed disappointed and rubbed his eyes, slumping onto his chair. I felt kinda down knowing the moment was ruined and just went back to bed, but at least I now knew his true feelings. I was sure the moment would arise another time. The creatures hurried outside, closing the door behind them. I locked eyes with him once more and gave a reassuring smile before falling asleep.
