A Mandalorian and A Jedi

Chapter 1

A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far Far Away...

"So we meet again, Mando." A vaguely familiar voice said. Din Dijarin turned to see Ahsoka Tano in her cloak, covering her face.

She was also an ex Jedi. He was on the planet Tatooine escorting Moff Gideon to the rebels wit the help of the other Mandalorians who'd helped rescue ...

Din paused a moment, emotion tightening his chest at the thought of Grogu being gone. Ahsoka titled her head as if sensing his feelings some how.

"Where's the little one?" She asked as if she didn't know already. Under his mask, Din scowled at her, her not sure if she was teasing or not.

"He found a Jedi." Was all Din said, looking back at the stalls he'd been surveying for supplies. Bo Katan and the others had stayed to watch Moff Gideon and pretty much had made him an errand man.

"Ah. See? I told you the temple would work." The tortuga said, a little snark in her voice. He finally glanced at her, wondering why she was here at all and wishing for her to go away.

"Why are you here?" He asked, voicing his thoughts aloud. Ahsoka raised her eyebrow at him as if it where obvious.

"I'm still searching for Grand Admril Thrawn. Where you not paying attention?" She said, crossing her arms. Suddenly a bird screeched at him over head and Din looked up noticing it always fallowed Ahsoka.

Din nodded and continued looking at for supplies thinking the conversation was over. Sure he'd maid some friends during his journeys but he wasn't very confident in his people skills. He heard the ex Jedi sigh and fallow him.

"I thought you would be interested in helping me." Ahsoka finally said. That made him pause again and look at her.

"Why would I?" He asked. Now the Mandalorian crossed his arms and it seemed like the two where at a crossroads.

Ahsoka looked up at the sky as if exasperated.

"While I was on that planet," Ahsoka began explaining. Din groaned inwardly just wanting to get back to his ship and take care of the Imperial General.

"I was searching for clues about Thrawn and also my friend who's been missing since we'd split up." She explained.

"Why would that interest me?" Din said the Tatooine suns bearing down on him, wishing he was in the cool air of the ship.
"Because...my friend is a Mandalorian." Ahsoka said.

The Mandalorian paused at that, despite finding several Mandalorians at this point. Why was Ahsoka traveling with another Mandalorian in the first place?

He had to admit...it was intriguing. A Mandalorian and an ex Jedi traveling together. In both ways anyway. He gave her a glance and considered going on a journey with her.

"Let me get back to my crew and I'll get back to you." Din said, thinking it'd give him some time to think over it. Ahsoka looked past him as if she was running out of time.

"Ok, Mando. Meet me at Mose Isley tomorrow at dusk if your willing." The ex Jedi said.

"I-." Before Din Dijarin could finish Ahsoka was gone the bird still circling where she'd been.

"What took so long Mando?" Cara Dune asked, working on her gun, sitting on the platform of the ship that lead inside. Din rolled his eyes under his helmet.
