Star

I started investigating the family to find clues to what happened.  I entered the house of Mrs. Smith, she greeted me kindly but she looked downcast.  She sent me out for tea to talk about the case but I was surprised that Mr. Smith wasn't there.  Her house was messy, everything was thrown away and there were bottles of beer everywhere, I asked her how they were going.  She burst into tears, she told me that nothing was the same anymore. She and her husband were supposed to be closer, but now he only dedicates himself to drinking.  I tried to comfort her since I saw her suffering in her eyes.  I started asking her what Star was like.
"She was a sweet and calm girl, she did not get into trouble with anyone. However, it was difficult for her to study" the mother told me while tears came out.  "So you think that she may have suffered bullying at school or that she was not interested in studying."  "She never told me that she was suffering from bullying or something like that. She spent a lot of time in the room that made me think that she was studying but when this accident happened, I found out that she had low grades."
While her mother told me about her bad grades, I kept thinking about how a mother does not realize her daughter's problems at school.  That makes me think that she was not aware of her daughter. I asked her if Star ever had friends or a boyfriend that she knew.  She replied that she had never seen her with a someone.  Her response hinted that perhaps Star is not very sociable.  To which this made me ask her if she knew that Star had social media and friends in it.
"The truth is, I did not know that she had accounts on social networks until Officer Lopez told me."  This answer surprised me to learn that this mother doesn't even know that her daughter have social networks.  With this, I can know that Mrs.Smith was not close to Star. After while talking with her a bit about Star, I decided to go and thank her for her time.
Leaving the house, I decided to go to school to talk to Star's teacher, Ms. Breen.  When I arrived I asked her how was Star with her studies, to which she replied "Star was a very intelligent girl, until something happened to her that made her grades go down a lot".  This made me think that something was hiding Star because being intelligent she does not drop the grade one day to another.  I asked the teacher for a report on her grades, and I was surprised to see that she had low grades and aside from her that she had pure of absences.  When I went to the office I asked the principal for videos of the school entrance.  When I saw the video, I was surprised that she left after her mother left her at school, with a worrying and mysterious face.
The next day, I decided to go back to Mrs. Smith's house to ask her about Star's laptop. The lady kindly handed me the laptop, and with my good luck, the laptop had no password since neither the father and the mother touched her stuff.  When I opened the laptop, I found a window open with Facebook messages.  These messages were addressed to a person named Michael.  Between the messages, I read all the messages that Star told the boy about her problems with her parents and her school.  Reading further I discovered that she had seen a murder and that the killer had seen her.  Wanting to continue researching and reading more about this, I decided to ask her mother to take the laptop with me.
