"Come on Sofia get out of bed, It's the first day of school, you don't wanna be late." Said Gladys. "I don't wanna go," said Sofia. "Sweetie, I know it's a hard thing for you to do, putting yourself out there, but it will be best for you and your education." Said Gladys. "Can I be homeschooled?" Asked Sofia. "No, but if you ever need help with homework I can help you, so can your dad." Said Gladys. "Ok," said Sofia sadly. "Meet me downstairs in 5 minutes," said Gladys patting Sofia on the back. Sofia walked down the stairs and ate breakfast while talking to her mom. "Are you excited?" Asked Gladys. "Do I look excited?" Said Sofia sarcastically. "Not the attitude, young lady." Said Gladys. I am 16 years old, I'm not a young lady," said Sofia. "That is exactly what you are Sofia, dear, said Gladys. HONK!!!!! The bus honked at the house and Sofia ran out the door grabbing her backpack. "Bye sweetie, said Gladys. "Bye mom!" She said rushing out the door. She grabbed a seat on the bus in the back. No one sat with her except this one girl who sat down next to her, smiling at her. "Hi, I'm Mary," she said. "Hi, I'm Sofia." Sofia said. "I like your name," said Mary. "Thanks, I like yours too," she said. "Are you sure you wanna be sitting next to me, I'm a little weird?" Asked Sofia. "Of course!" Said Mary. Thanks Mary, I'm just not used to people sitting next to me, I don't have many friends." Said Sofia. "I only have 2," said Mary. "Glad we are on the same page!" Sofia laughed. "Do you wanna be friends?" Mary asked. "Totally!" Said Sofia. They arrived at school. Nothing happened but they saw that high school once again. "Wow, junior year," said Sofia. "I can't wait," said Mary. Everyone walked in and went to their first classes at the start of junior year. Sofia walked into English class. "Hello class! Welcome to junior year! I am your teacher, Mrs. Callabom. You are going to enjoy English, I guarantee it." Said Mrs. Callabom. As english went on Sofia DID NOT enjoy it. She started to get angry because she wanted to finish the class. She clenched her fists and kind of zoned off into an angry zone. "Is everything alright?" Asked Mrs. Callabom. "Yes, said Sofia unclenching her fists. As she unclenched them, she looked down. She was bleeding. All she thought was that she was crazy, she has issues and she couldn't fix them. "I am sorry," Mary said after class. "What for?" Sofia asked. "I saw your bleeding hands in English class, I wanted to do something but you seemed a little upset." Said Mary. "I am, said Sofia, and I always will be."
