Blurred vision slowly came into focus. Voices tuned in, tuned out, unintelligible. Where.. am I?
"He's waking up."
"Did - work?"
"How much - inject this time?"
"It - matter - didn't work."
Izuku blinked into an ultra bright room, men in lab coats hovering over him with their charts.
"Everybody out."
These harsh words rang clearly in Izuku's head. He tried moving his arms but found himself restrained, tried using One for All but it just gave him a sharp pain throughout.
An arrogant smile towered over him. "I wouldn't struggle if I were you. Or do, doesn't matter to me."
Izuku was disoriented. He was just reaching into the trunk of the car when somebody appeared by him suddenly. "Boo." Was all they said to announce their arrival, before grabbing Izuku's shoulder and transporting him here.
"Would you mind telling me, boy, why it is that we can't take your quirk?" The man pressed.
Izuku could finally hold focused eye contact. This guy looks like a cross between a mob boss and a mad scientist. The stocky muscular man pushed up his glasses, eager to learn the secret.
"..That's easy, you couldn't.." Izuku sat up, "..because we didn't feel like it." Smirking, he began to glow. In a power surge, he stood up, IVs left ripped behind. He had been testing OfA in short bursts, confident once the pain subsided.
"Bahahahaha. Amazing! Sorry, sorry," The man took a step forward instead of retreating. "I haven't introduced myself yet. You can call me Hisoka."
Izuku scoffed. "Oh, are we close now?"
"We can be. Speaking of 'we', I'm dying for you to elaborate."
"..."
"No? Okay.. so if you did 'feel' like it, then it would work? Hmm.." Hisoka mock wondered, "I just have to make you feel like it, then."
Izuku's steps faltered with what he heard next.
"Bring him in."
