"I have a proposal for you guys," Julia said. "Let's have a contest." Matthew, Cynthia, Catherine, Monet, Wyatt, Luke, Sebastian, and Jack gave Julia a funny look. The nine were sitting on the far left corner of the wushu room. Julia noticed the looks that she was given. "What's with the looks?"
"If this is a wushu contest, it's clear that I will loose," Sebastian said. "I've only been here for about two weeks."
"It's not a wushu contest... this time." Julia clarified. "It's a story telling one!"
"So, Canterbury Tales but we actually know who wins?" Monet asked.
"Excuse me?"
"Never mind. Just please explain the full contest," Monet said, shaking her head slightly.
"So we each tell a story-- well except for me because I judge. I'll rank the stories after they all have been told and then, the person's whose story had the highest rank will have to have all of us over for an Avatar Marathon," Julia said. "It has to be entertaining. If we do a one sentence circle thing, you can't take credit for that."
"So, pretty basic rules." Cynthia said.
"You guys choose who can go first," Julia said. "But you have to go sometime this week. Because Avatar Marathon is on the 20th which is two weeks from now. The Contest starts when class does on Wednesday. You guys have two days to think."
Master Qiao clapped his noodles together and ordered, "Line up!" Everyone gathered into a line from shortest to tallest and respectfully bowed to Master Qiao. Both the class and the contest began!
