Jongin.

My face was forcely turned to my right as I received a harsh slap from Mirae.

I looked at her with soft eyes. I couldn't blame her. Her face was filled with tears streaming down, her cheeks were red from crying. Her hair was a mess. But again, I couldn't blame her.

She pushed and punched my abdomen wailing, sending the guilt on me, three thousand times.

"W-why would you do this, Jongin?," she finally looked up to meet my eyes. She continued as she sniffed hard, "Why would they do this? Did I ever-did we ever do anything, anything that would-"

"Shush, shh," I hugged her tightly as if never wanting to let go.

She immediately ducked my arms and screamed at my face, "Shut up!," she breathed heavily, "I know you did something. That's why they're sending you to military to fight those retarded people trying to get to our country! And they assigned you to that f*cking front position wherein- arghh!," she pulled her hair in frustration.

She pushed me once again, harder. "And you even had this stupid gut of yours to approve for position! What is wrong with you?!"

I remained silent.

She pushed me again as my back hit the wall.

"When will you leave for military training?," her voice was dripping with malice- like she wanted to kill me now and then.

I looked down, and my tears were already silently dropping. How gay of me. I couldn't even tell all the details at once.

"Tomorrow," I answered, scared of how she will react.

That made her stop from her movements- her crying, her walking towards me, her wailing sounds, everything. It's as if time stopped- for her.

Her breath suddenly hitched. She paused doing anything, but then she continued to cry once again. Slowly, she had her knees on the ground infront of me. And she cried desperately.

She sniffed hard and tried to plaster a smile, "So this is how you felt like when I was diagnosed with cancer...," she nodded to herself, "Atleast, I lived. I survived. How about you, Jongin? Will you still ever come back home?"

"I will," I said as if I had confidence- as if I was sure, but who am I kidding?

She shook her head and laughed, "You're in front, Jongin. You're infront of the battle. And everyone at the front are heroes. They all die fighting for their country."
