-Ariel
For years and years, tyranny broke out on earth in such waves that humanity has lost the most important core values that that aided them for so long. love, sharing, morals, humanitarianism etc...Why? Why has the world lost so much for something so trivial such as letting us roam free?
Humans. Humans for decades have tormented our kind since we first emerged in Egypt. Maybe it was from being underground, hiding for so long that one my father and king, Tamarin snapped and couldn't take the fact that a more stronger, more intelligent breed were being hunted, killed, sold to fight other vampires and sold into slavery for human families. Though, I do agree with him that we are the better kind, we still do in fact have lack emotions that would make this world more better. love.
We don't have love, we have never experienced it. Yes we have loyalty and respect--the closest thing we have to love because loyalty we'd do anything for our king and comrades, respect because we have respect for our kind. yet we lack love because we are monsters. We don't need it.
Humans were for the most part wiped out from earth in the year 2020 and it is now 2110. Though we do in fact need them alive, most of them were hunted and killed and the ones with a stronger blood count were saved for us in return for them being able to live on our lands, as long as each family gives one of their young with the highest blood count their kingdom. You may say this is barbaric, but humans and Vampires cannot live in the same way that human + human can live or Vampire + Vampire can live! It is just not done. They are the animals.
Disgusting humans...
A knock interrupts my thoughts and I set my pen down inside my journal and close it.
"Come in." I shout and I turn my body towards the door.
Selene comes in with her head bowed. "Sir, your father is asking to see you."
"You know you don't have to bow your head, we've known each other since I was born." I smile.
Her bright light blue eyes look up to me but her head is still bowed." My lord, my loyalty for you will not allow me to raise my head."
She looks up. "Shall we go?"
I give her a nob and we start walking together through the long hallways.
"Do you know what this is about, selene?" I ask.
"That I don't know. Maybe it's another rebel army that tried to phase an attack." She says as she looks straight ahead.
I nod and wait until we get to my fathers study. We become silent as we hear my father yelling and things being thrown around. I run up to the door and open it. Selene stays behind.
I see my father standing in a defensive stance where as my brother was sitting down with his head hung low.
"In trouble again?" I laugh. My father looks at me with murderous eyes and I knew that Cealen must have did something fucking stupid again and I'll be left to take care of his mess. "What did he do?" I ask sternly, staring at Cealen.
"My flesh and blood has been decieving me for a while now." His body language starts to cool down, but still tense as he walks to his desk and leans on it with crossed arms.
"Bishop, my son. Tell me what humans are to you...To us?" His red eyes peering into my soul... I hate when he did that shit.
I found this odd that he would be speaking this to me. What did my brother actually do? I push the unspoken thought out of my head and answer the obvious question.
"They're blood bags that deserve nothing but to be blood bags. Unintelligent and lazy mortals that can't be trusted. They hate us and we hate them even more." I seethe.
The thought of a human makes me blood boil.
My father laughs, his eyes show mirth at what I said. "Good." He flicks his tongue on his fang.
"Cealen, now you speak on what you think humans are, what is your view on them?"
Cealens head pops up and he zips into my fathers face with incredible speed. I jump forward but my father holds up his hand for me to stop.
"You father, have no ide what humans are! Yes, maybe in your time they were harsh to us, maybe even now they hate us, but why is that! Why do you think! We kill them and breed them for their blood!" Cealen yells in our fathers face and he turns to me with red eyes.
"Bishop, is that all the are to you?" His eyes turn back to their normal hazel. "Are they only blood bags? What if we can make a pact with them, for their freedom?"Rage started to build up at every word he said. In a snap I appeared in front on him and tightly grabbed onto his arms. "What has gotten into you!" I yell. "What's making you say these things. They are disgusting inbred pigs. They will never be anything besides that. Have you so easily forgotten what they did to mother!" My voice boomed deeply, rattling the glass cups on the bar.
He pushes me off of him and he looks shocked at my aggression towards him. "I-I..."
"That's right, don't you ever forget what they did. This is why their freedom now is lesser than what it was before. If you so much are dare say these things again to anyone, you have mothers blood on your hands." I didn't realize my fangs were out and my eyes had turned red until I looked over to the window and seen my reflection. I looked at father and then Cealen. My father looked proud, but my little brother was terrified. My heart sunk at the sight of him. I felt guilty, but I'd never let my father know that.
Damn it!
I walked out the door and out of the mansion and started running into the forest. My family lived in this mansion for years and the forest was the only place besides my mother that would keep me sane. As I went farther and farther into the forest, I slowed down and walked into the secret garden that my mother, Cealen and I used to sit and play when we were just offspring. The garden was filled with red and white roses that had thrones that were both poisionous to vampires and humans. I walked down a path that lead towards a clearing of long graass. The trees formed a cucoon and we would play and play, hidden from world. When my mother was alive she always took us here when my father would make plans against the humans, she never wanted us to become so hateful. We both followed in her ways, especially Cealen. It wasn't until she was brutally beat with silver pieces, hung for fun and then finally burned at the stake that my hate for humans become what fueled me in life. I sat against a tree and hung my head. I projected a memory of my mother, Cealan and I playing in front of me. It was like watching a movie with no sound.
-Third Person Pov-
Bishop lightly smiled at the memory being played out in front of him. Deep in his heart, he knew his mothers kind love for him still kept his heart from growing cold and mean like his fathers. Why? He didn't know, but it was there like breathing. He watched as his mother sat down by the tree he's sitting against and watched Cealen and him play with rocks. He could almost make out his mother say, "I love you both so much."
*snap*
Bishops head jerked into the direction of the noise, the memory flashed and disappeared and it was now dark again.
My senses awakened. A smell filled my nose.
Human.
Cealen is pronounce sea-len ;)
