After I got Bryce's phone number, I was surprised over what was going on in my life. Jeremy cheated on me, I made out with Ron and was rescued by a sexy firefighter. Things are getting interesting.

As I walked to Ron, he started running and left me behind. I did not understand why he was acting that way. Maybe he wanted to exercise, I thought.

"Ron! Wait up!" I screamed as I ran to catch up with him. He turned around and stopped. He looked at me. As soon as our eyes touched, I noticed that he was angry.

"Is everything okay, Ron?" I asked. I knew things were not okay. I wanted to hear it from him. I did not understand why he was still upset.

There was a slight pause. Ron sighed.

"No. Everything is not okay, Kay." I immediately got nervous. I knew I would not like hear what came next. "We've spent a month hanging out together. What makes you think it's okay to give another guy your number?"

Oh. Hell. No. How dare he feel that he's entitled to me when he broke my heart? My blood boiled. I remained quiet. I wanted him to say everything he needed to tell me now, before I took a chance in giving him a piece of my mind.

"I thought that after that kiss we shared, you had developed feelings for me. Because, at least for me, I feel a connection to you. I can't get you off my mind, Kay. I'm jealous. I'm jealous that you can't see how I completely like you!"

If I would have heard this two years ago, I would have been jumping for joy. But, the situation was completely different. He technically left me for my cousin and he agreed in maintaining a friendship.

"You know what Ron? Fuck you! You had your chance with me two years ago, but you were too whipped with Arlene to even notice that I liked you." My words caught him by surprise. The cold expression of his face changed to a more surprised look.

I continued talking, "Arlene even knew that I liked you. It's not in your place to tell me what to do either. I could do what I want with my life. Afterall, you did agree to being friends only."

"Kay, I'm so-"

"I'm not done talking" I interrupted. "I'm not going to make a move on you. I don't think I could ever have feelings for you Ron. You broke my heart into so many pieces. You're not any better than Jeremy."

I walked away.

"I'm sorry Kay. I'm just being st-" he explained.

"Don't bother Ron. Don't follow me either. I'm going home."

Days later, Ron kept texting me, sending me flowers, gifts and calling me whenever he gets a chance. I simply ignored all of his attempts to message me. I did not want to see him anymore.

What I was looking forward to was my date... with Bryce. After getting my number, he texted me. We had not seen each other since the day he rescued me, but he had texted me. We texted each other all day until we would go to sleep. I found out so much about him through those messages.

For example, I found out he was 29. He was a Leo. Good thing, because our astrological signs indicated that we were compatible. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the army and was fighting abroad for 5 years. After that, he wanted to serve his community and decided to become a firefighter. He didn't like to talk about his former relationships, especially his last one. He never really told me why it ended, but I did not want to ruin my chance to get to know him better over my curiousity.

It was 3pm and I finished showering. I did not know if I should wear skinny jeans or a dress. I ended choosing the dress. A gold dress. It hugged my curves and it looked good against my tan skin. I curled my hair and it made my brown hair and blonde highlights look beautiful. Next, I worked on my make up. I put some purple eyeshadow on my eyelid and my crease area. I put some sparkling gold eyeshadow on my eyelid. My brown eyes stood out- they looked much more bigger and they had the color of honey.
