Kithood

As a kit, Stella underwent rigorous mental and physical training. She formed a strong psychological bond towards one individual; her foster brother Kami. The people and situations she experienced made it extremely hard for her to trust any other individual. Her own personality and nature must also be taken into account; Stella is a naturally aggressive, narcissistic, and sassy character. The power she was immediately bestowed; the power to end the lives of others; gave her the beginnings of her current superiority complex. The immediate attention to stomping out her compassion and normalizing death in her mind and continued conditioning for the rest of her kithood was astonishingly effective. Her temper tantrums, as a kit, were always positively reinforced rather than sternly reprimanded, and helped contribute to her  mood swings. She and Kami sometimes played together in her only safe space; an abandoned warehouse where she now recalled positive and happy memories. It's a comforting place for her.

Career

As an assassin Stella has enormous talent, she is small, light-footed, fast and agile, and incredibly ruthless. A combination of the unstability of her home environment with acrylicats, coming and going, killing and being killed, led her to view her occupation as a consistency in her otherwise unstable life. I imagine Kami's crazy condition came into play later in her life? So she started to doubt him more but still loved and trusted him. Where most people have multiple figures they have a connection with, Stella poured all of her emotion into her only positive relationship. She does feel incredibly vulnerable to the idea of losing him. When she witnesses two of his episodes in relatively rapid sequence it pushes a wedge of doubt into her mind; she's forced to consider if she means anything to him at all while he is experiencing aforementioned episodes and it scares her. She's confused and has felt a lot of emotions as of late that she doesn't understand and acts impulsively and with drastic consequences.

Corruption

Having been the reason she lost the only thing she truly relies on, a fact she was unable to accept; Stella flees to her safe space and seeks out the only activity that allows her to vent her feelings and brings her some stability. Her loss has essentially shattered her world view and she acts purely on impulses and emotions rather than any logic.

I'm not a psychologist and don't know enough about the field to say anything regarding the accuracy or likelihood of these situations, which are not strictly canon and mostly speculation anyways.
