Star's POV

I miss her, Ji-eun. I watched her die, and I didn't do anything about it. I guess I couldn't but still, I could at least have tried.

I wiped away my tears and stared at the ceiling.

''Star!''

I heard my dad yell from downstairs.

''Coming'' I yelled back.

As soon as I got down I fell to the ground. He'd hit me so hard that I couldn't even stand up.

''You don't yell at me! You understand??'' He yelled, hitting me again. 

''I'm sorry dad'' I looked down.

''good girl, i wanted to tell you that you got an A+ on your last exam. That's really good''

''Thank you''

''But you still need to  be number 1 in your class, so I expect you to be that that when this semester is over''

''Yes dad''

''Now go up to your room'' I nodded and stood up, caressing my cheek as I walked up the stairs.

8 AM

''hey star!''

Someone yelled at me. I smiled as I realized who it was.

''Hi Tammy''

I looked at the blue haired girl and leaned on the locker behind me. She's actually really.. umm handsome? Hot? I don't really know how to describe her, she's just so..her. 

Everything about her is just so amazing, her leather boots, leather jacket and that pretty necklace she always wears. Wait a minute, why did I think like that?

I stared at her as she was walking towards me, I looked down feeling nervous for some reason.

''You okay?''

I looked up.

''Huh?''

''You look kinda down''

''oh that's not it, i'm just thinking about some stuff''

She placed her hand on my shoulder and looked me in the eyes.

''I know we haven't known each other for a long time, but if you need someone to talk to. You can count on me''

She smiled that smile again. Suddenly a question popped up in my head.

''Tammy, this is an odd question, but why did you transfer here?''

''huh? oh''

She put her arm around her neck and licked her lips. As if she was nervous or something.

''um, actually I got bullied before''

I looked up, shocked.

''You did? Why? I mean look at you, you're stunning and kind and..''

I stopped myself mid sentence, realizing what I just said.

Shit, why did I say that? She must think that I'm a weirdo now.

I looked down, embarrassed. Suddenly I heard a giggle from her.

''You think i'm stunning?''

''what? oh ehm yeah, I- I Mean you are''

''thank you, and you have the prettiest eyes''

My heart skipped a beat again, this is the second time this happens around her. Why am I like this?

''oh, thanks'' I said smiling.

''well...see ya!'' She said, giving me a crooked smile. As she walked away, I thought about what happened at her school, why did they bully her?
