Her father is the billionaire and owner of multiple companies all across Dakota City and always seems to be busy with work, but is still able to spend some quality time with his only child.

Like Virgil (and later Richie), Astrid gained her crystalline superpowers from the Big Bang Incident. She uses her new meta-human superpowers to become the super heroine, Crystal, and joined Static in his crime-fighting adventures.
