Chapter 5

Dani POV

I entered English class early and sat down still scarred from the day before. Class began and the popular kids walked in.

"Hey."

I stared at Jordan and looked away. I can't tell him. I don't even have proof. He won't believe me. Even if he will, why do I have to tell him, why do I have to be so noisy? WHY WHY WHY? WHY ME?!

"Are you okay? You look idk scared?"
"I'm fine..."
"You sure?"
"You won't believe me if I told you why I look scared. You probably would hate me for it."
"Now I really want to know."

I stared at him and shook my head. "No. You don't."

"Just tell me."
"Fine. Your...."
"My???"
"Yyyy...."

I could see him visibly start to get annoyed.

"Your girlfriends cheating on you with your best friend. Well one of them."

I already felt dreadful as the words came out my mouth.

"Jordan and Dani I'm sure it can wait after class. If it's so important would you like to share it with the class as well?"

We shook our heads.

"Good. Now as I was saying class the trend I'm seeing in your projects..."

His voice trailed off as Jordan stared laughing. Not loudly but loud enough for me to hear.

"Your joking right?"
"I knew you wouldn't believe me."
"Your right, I don't believe you. So many girls have tried the same, 'your girlfriends cheating on you so you should be with me trick' and it never worked for them so why would you even think for a second that it would work for you?"
"It's not a tri-''
"Lying again? Look I know I'm attractive, I'm aware but I have a girlfriend that I love very much. I am loyal and will stay loyal to my girlfriend and would never trade her for anyone else in the world no matter what. I expected you out of everyone to realize that. But then again your just like other girls aren't you? Selfish, greedy and disgusting. I don't ever want to talk to you again after this project. I don't want anything to do with you, I want you to stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours. Don't even look at me, any of my friends or my girlfriend. And I suggest for you to stop lying, your very bad at it."

He rolled his eyes and ignored me for the rest of the class. I was low key hurt tbh but it's not like I was gonna cry over it like I know what I saw and heard. And I was going to stick with my story whether he liked it or not. I did have to give him a round of applause for being so loyal to a scum like her. I mean I can't see how anyone could, but then again she's easy.

I ended up talking to Mr. Harrison after class and asking him if it was okay if I submitted my presentation separate from his. He agreed and said he would inform Jordan.

"Can I ask why I have to tell him instead of you doing it yourself ?"

"You'll know very soon."

I was home and I finished my homework and was now laying in bed watching Netflix and eating Takis. I couldn't help but to think about the situation. I knew that if I did what I wanted to do, I would possibly ruin a relationship but also save someone... what do I do?

Jordan POV

I hung up the FaceTime call with my girlfriend. My mind shifted to what Dani said. I can't believe her, I thought I finally met someone who was better than all these girls, someone I could be friendly with and rely on but no, she just has to be the same exact person. It did make me question my relationship with Ashley and if Dani actually wasn't lying but it's probably just whatever.
